Nssm 32 Bit Download

nssm is a service helper which doesn't suck. srvany and other service helper programs suck because they don't handle failure of the application running as a service. If you use such a program you may see a service listed as started when in fact the application has died. nssm monitors the running service and will restart it if it dies. With nssm you know that if a service says it's running, it really is. Alternatively, if your application is well-behaved you can configure nssm to absolve all responsibility for restarting it and let Windows take care of recovery actions.

It is available here and was created by Iain Patterson and as far as I can tell is free to use non commercially. Make sure that you download the nssm 2.24-101-g897c7ad version, and take either the 32-bit or 64-bit version depending on your system.

NSSM is command line driven ( ), but has a built-in GUI should you prefer it (I sure do). I highly recommend placing the nssm.exe in a directory that is easy to get access to. For my case I just dropped it into my mosquitto installation directory:

The nssm.exe service manager was removed because it triggered false positives from anti-virus software. The service now directly runs from the pritunl-service.exe application. Try uninstalling the client and verify the Pritunl service is no longer shown in the services manager. If it is open a command prompt as administrator and run sc.exe delete pritunl.

Here is a basic example of adding the Vault service using nssm directly from the cmd.exe shell, without using the UI. Ensure that the cmd.exe is opened as an Administrator and execute a command like the following:
