Why should I join NSSLHA?
There are many reasons to join CSULB NSSLHA. Membership looks great on your resume for graduate admissions as well as job or volunteer applications. In addition, CSULB NSSLHA provides valuable information and opportunities to assist you in your pursuit of a career in speech-language pathology or audiology. Some examples of what NSSLHA membership can offer are:
● Information on volunteer opportunities
● Information on workshops, seminars, conferences and other professional growth opportunities
● Opportunities to spread awareness of people with speech and language disorders
● Connecting with your fellow students and staff on campus
● Great attribute on grad applications
Besides all this, we have a great time creating lasting memories and meaningful relationships both on campus and in the community!

$30 for the academic year (you only have to pay once each year you join).
How do I know if I have enough points?
It is each member’s responsibility to keep track of the events they attend and to make sure they sign-in or provide proof of attendance at a particular event. Members must submit proof for points by the designated date stated in each monthly meeting email. Questions about points should be addressed to General Email
Is National NSSLHA and CSULB NSSLHA the same membership?
National NSSLHA is NSSLHA on the national level & CSULB NSSLHA is an independently operated chapter by our very own CSULB students. Signing up for National NSSLHA membership does not make you a member of CSULB NSSLHA. Likewise, registering for CSULB NSSLHA does not make you a member of National NSSLHA. Both must be registered for separately.
What are the benefits of joining National NSSLHA?
Be eligible for 10 undergraduate scholarships through National NSSLHA and graduate-level scholarships through the ASHFoundation.
Be eligible for NSSLHA Member Honors, which recognizes outstanding National NSSLHA members’ accomplishments.
