Jedediah Island Marine Provincial Park
July 18-23, 2019
This is a six-day trip to a group of beautiful islands in the Strait of Georgia off central Vancouver Island, BC. Our focus will be Jedediah Island and the surrounding islands and parks. Jedediah’s isolation and tranquility make it an excellent destination for kayaking and wilderness camping.
Trip leader Bill Brackin, who has paddled this area before, will choose daily destinations and routes based on conditions, but there are many options for both protected and exposed paddling. Hiking is also possible, as are fishing and snorkeling. Bring your camera…this is a beautiful area and there’s a good chance you’ll see seals, dolphins and whales.
Paddlers must have rescue skills and be able to assist in rescues if necessary, and must have kayak camping experience.
Trip Rating: IV-B
