Deadline: December 15, 2026
We are excited to announce the Network Science Society's 2026 Communication Video Competition!
Submit your video clip to be screened at a fall 2026 Network Science Society online event and enter a chance to win a prize.
Goal: We seek to create a repository of short video clips on interesting, surprising, useful, or otherwise intriguing concepts in network science, aimed to increase the broad visibility and relevance of the field.
Guidelines: Videos should be entertaining, informative, and tailored to an educated non-professional viewer, who takes an interest in science. To participate please prepare a 2-3 minute video clip on a network concept of your choice. Feel free to choose topics that are close to your own research, or that you are personally passionate about. But keep in mind - this is aimed for a broad audience.
Awards and dissemination: Awards will be presented to the top-ranked submissions ($500 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd, and $200 for 3rd). The best clips will be promoted by the Network Science Society on social media.
Get help preparing your video in the upcoming Network Science Skills Series: Communicating Network Science through Video on November 18, 2026 (tentative). Sign up for NetSci updates to stay informed.
Deadline: December 15, 2026
