WHAT TO EXPECT IN SECOND YEAR?

As a second-year nursing student, you will deepen your understanding through major professional subjects such as Care of the Mother, Child, and Adolescent, Community Health Nursing, Pharmacology, Nutrition and Diet Therapy, and Health Care Ethics (Bioethics). These courses will challenge you to think critically, act ethically, and view health care from both individual and community perspectives.

You will also be exposed to more skills-based learning and clinical-related activities, where concepts learned in class begin to connect with real-life nursing situations. Expect increased workloads, case discussions, simulations, teamwork, and a stronger emphasis on responsibility, professionalism, and compassion.
