NATIONAL SIMULTANEOUS EARTHQUAKE DRILL (NSED)
Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill or NSED is an initiative at the National level that aims to raise awareness of the impacts of earthquakes in communities and develop a sense of preparedness to undertake measures that will mitigate potential losses in society.
It is an annual activity, implemented in every quarter of the year, that encourages all stakeholders, to take part and observe preparedness measures for earthquakes. It highlights the disaster risk reduction and management capacities of communities, highlighting the cross-cutting initiatives of the government, the private sector, civil society, and most importantly, the general citizenry.
