Important info for new parents - You have 45 days to enroll your infant with Excellus Blue Cross Blue Shield. Otherwise you will have to wait for an open enrollment time - of which there are 4 open enrollment periods each calendar year.
Members often ask what the cut off age is for their child's medical benefits.
Health insurance - dependent children are allowed to remain on the healthcare plan until the age of 26 regardless of financial dependency, employment status (if not covered by work), marital status, enrollment in school, or where they reside.
Vision & Dental -
Once your child reaches 19 years of age, they're considered adults and immunizations are no longer covered by insurance.
