"Bharat is My Home" has been written by Dr. Zakir Hussain. He was born in Hyderabad on 8 Feb, 1897. He was one of the greatest freedom fighters as well as an environmental educationist. He became the President of India in 1967. Earlier he had served as the governor of Bihar. ‘Bharat is My Home’ is an extract from his presidential speech given in 1967 after taking the oath as president. He was awarded Bharat Ratna in 1963. He died on 3 May, 1969.
