Love for Our Elders is a global letter writing initiative. Every month, people around the world nominate elders who people can write kind letters to! This month, we can contribute by sending some warm messages to Don, Jane, or Jack. All the information you will need to get started is below!

GUIDELINES
1. Letters must be legible (large print), handwritten, and include no glitter. No worries if you’re not artistic– make your card as what you’d like to receive.
2. Avoid religion, if possible. Your letter should resonate with anyone.
3. Embrace creativity! Recipients love it when the letters are personal. Make them colorful and fun. Photos, crosswords, and drawings are great!
4. Be kind & thoughtful.
5. Make sure to indicate the recipient on your letter.
6. You can write to one elder, or to all. It's completely up to you!
7. Make sure to bring your letter(s) to our next in-person meeting.
Don
Who is he? Don is a nature lover who would love a letter from Ohio.
A note from Don's daughter:
“My father is from New York. He was a general contractor who took great pride in his work. He loves the outdoors and helping neighbors. He has been a little under the weather and would love letters.”
Elders to Write to:
Jane
Who is she? Jane is an artist and mother of six! Don is Jane's husband.
A note from Jane's daughter: “Jane is a mother of six who loves to paint and garden. She would love to receive your letters! I couldn’t help but nominate another amazing elder.”
Jack
Who is he? Jack is a WW2 veteran and Korean War veteran living in Michigan.
A note from Jack's grandchild: “He will be turning 94 this year and is lonely and missing my grandmother. He is from Michigan and I would love if he could see how much he is appreciated for his service to our country and that he is not alone”
