Project: Finding collaborations amidst trying times
Using project management tools, students carried out 8 projects for the 5 different partners. Projects ranged from designing mobile apps and an online educational package, to developing toolkits, online workshops and a social media campaign. Students conducted general desktop research on issues such as mental health and carbon footprint to gather data and develop their projects.
Module: Project Management
This module teaches students the skills required for effective project management for social enterprise: planning, scheduling, monitoring, managing and evaluating. The Project Management Life Cycle will be introduced, and students will have to manage and implement a real project as part of the module. Project management software will also be introduced as useful tools for the module.
Project: Developing resources on Chinese culture & the arts
Students tapped into their domain skills to develop multi-media materials on Chinese folklore and the arts, for CSLMCH to use as teaching and learning resources.
Module: Chinese Folklore & the Arts
This module offers an introduction of Chinese folklore and the arts. Students will be introduced to the key relationship between folklore and folk arts. Important Chinese festivals and customs from both Mainland China and Singapore will also be discussed with a comparison of specific case studies. Students will be able to grasp a basic understanding of Chinese arts as well as the contemporary cultural phenomenon in Singapore.
