Jocelyn Dorsey is excited to bring Capricorn to life in Songs for a New World! She is a first-year master’s student in Musical Theatre and Opera Performance at Arizona State University and a proud Houston native. Recent stage credits include La Princesse (L’Enfant et les sortilèges), Juliette (Roméo et Juliette), and Treemonisha (Treemonisha). Favorite musical theatre roles include Middle Allie (The Notebook), Deena (Dreamgirls), and Katherine Howard (Six). Jocelyn is a two-time first-place winner of the National Opera Association Opera Scenes Competition and loves sharing stories that uplift and connect audiences.
Aquarius
Katie Wright is so thrilled to be sharing the stage with this group of people. She is a senior musical theatre major with a business minor. Previous ASU credits include The Mad Ones, Theory of Relativity, and Natasha, Pierre.... She will also be featured as Thea in Spring Awakening at ASU this spring. She would like to thank her family, partner, castmates, and creative team for the support in this experience.

Nickole Custodio (Leo (but a Taurus irl) is a transfer student from Pima Community College pursuing her Bachelor's in Music for Musical Theatre. She has worked with various companies such as Teatro Dignidad, Saguaro City Music Theater, Arts Express, and Borderlands. Her favorite roles include Sally Bowles in Cabaret, Mrs. Wormwood in Matilda the Musical, La Mari in Anita the Musical, Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors, and Catherine in Proof. Aicha Ba is a Music Theatre Performance senior performing her first major role on the ASU stage in Songs for a New World. Most recently, she was in the ensemble for ASU's As You Like It and understudied the role of Casey in First Date; she previously played Sarah in Fountain Hills Theatre's Ragtime, Thea in Desert Stages' Spring Awakening, and a Statue in MCC's The Hunchback of Notre Dame. This show is different from anything she has done and she hopes you find it as beautiful as she does.

Joshua Ransford is so excited to be a part of this incredible production at ASU! He is a senior Musical Theatre Major at ASU. He was last seen here at ASU as Balaga in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812! His previous credits include: Otto (Spring Awakening), Adam/Anthony (Theory of Relativity). Josh gives thanks to his friends, family, Professor Myers, Kendal, and this unbelievable cast and creative team!

Atticus is ecstatic to be a part of this incredible production! As a third-year Music Theatre Performance major at ASU, he was most recently on the Evelyn Smith stage playing viola and waltzing around as Andrey (u/s Pierre) in Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812. Kyleigh Perales is a senior pursuing her bachelors in Music Theatre Performance with a minor in Dance. Siena Zoe Liljegren (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of Songs for a New World! She is a senior musical theater performance major at ASU. Tre Moore is excited to be a part of Songs for a New World this semester. He is a senior Musical Theatre and Business Entrepreneurship major in Barrett. Past ASU MTO productions include Pippin (Pippin), Into the Woods (Jack), and Little Women (Laurie). Other productions include Let the Good Times Roll (LD), Into the Woods (Jack), Seussical (Swing), and Waitress (Swing), all at the Phoenix Theatre Company. Andrés Uribe, proudly Mexican, is thrilled to be cast in Songs For a New World at ASU! He is a second-year transfer student pursuing his Bachelor’s in Music for Musical Theatre Performance and minoring in Dance. He was recently seen as Waiter in ASU’s production of First Date, as Miguel in GENIUS at The Phoenix Theatre Company, Mutt at ASU’s Musical Theatre Production of MUTT, A New Musical and as ensemble in Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812. Paige Boulter is a senior pursuing a Bachelor's degree of Music in Musical Theater Performance here at ASU. She will be graduating this May and is very grateful for her time here at ASU. Some of her most recent performances include playing Sister Mary Robert in Mesa Community College's production of Sister Act. For which she was nominated for an AriZoni Theater Award for Best Supporting Female Lead. Gianna Arrighi Is currently a Sophomore pursuing her Bachelor’s in Music for Musical Theatre. She was last seen as a swing in ASU’s student-led production First Date. Other shows she’s been seen in include: Esmeralda in the Hunchback of Notre Dame performed at the Herberger Theatre with Valley Youth Theatre and Ellie Blake in Freaky Friday at the Sanderson Lincoln Pavilion with Desert Foothills Theatre. Gianna was also seen in Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella as Charlotte and The Secret Garden as Martha. She would like to thank her family and friends for their amazing support! Tj Hamashita is absolutely thrilled to be a part of the team for Songs for a New World. This is his first collegiate performance as a Sophomore in his Bachelor's of Science in Automotive Engineering and his Minor in Music Theatre. Tj has performed in different shows, including Hadestown and Back to the Future. His favorite role is Hermes from Hadestown. Sean Leinenweber is super excited to be a part of the Songs For a New World experience. He is a senior pursuing his Bachelor’s in Acting, with a minor in Musical Theatre. This is his first show as a swing and it’s been a great learning experience. He has recently performed in The Wedding Singer this year, but his focus for the past few years has been strictly film. Tough stuff!

Henry Morton is pursuing his Masters of Music in Vocal Performance for Musical Theatre at Arizona State University and received his Bachelor of Arts in Applied Voice and a Minor in Theatre Arts at the University of Oregon’s School of Music and Dance. Recent credits include A Little Night Music (Henrik) with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival, Frankenstein: Playing With Fire (Frankenstien) with the University of Oregon theatre, She Loves Me (Georg Nowack) with Eugene’s NSP, and Newsies (Jack Kelly) with Eugene’sNSP. Jose Antonio Guevara he/him, raised in Southern Arizona, is a Latin American musician, singer, and educator (and a July Leo). He graduated from Arizona State University with a BM in Music Learning and Teaching with an emphasis in Trumpet pedagogy and is now a second year Master’s student pursuing a degree in Vocal Performance with an emphasis in Musical Theatre. Jose Antonio is passionate about and committed to creating and upholding safe spaces for all in the arts, especially individuals who come from marginalized groups. He would like to thank his loved ones for all of their support!

Helen Kohler (she/her) is a second year doctoral student in Conducting Opera/Orchestra and Music Theater/Opera Teaching Assistant here at ASU. B.M. Baldwin Wallace University, M.M. Kent State University; Piano Performance. Recent credits: Annie Get Your Gun, (Keys 1, MTAA), As You Like It (MD, ASU), and Jersey Boys (Keys 2 Sub, The Phoenix Theatre Company). Helen’s love for music theater began with Songs for a New World so it is truly an honor to be able to share this work with you. What once was a dream is now reality thanks to this incredible creative team and cast.

Jasmyn Gade (Assistant Director & Costume Designer) is so honored to be on the Songs for a New World creative team! She is a junior pursuing Music Theatre Performance and Music Therapy degrees under the vocal instruction of Dr. Andrea Will. Jasmyn is a cast teacher/acting coach for Phoenix Youth Theatre’s Shrek Jr. and their audition/callback co-teacher. She has past directional experience in a self-produced musical, one acts, and a horror movie maze; and has won three awards in costume design! Jasmyn was most recently Jaques in As You Like It and will soon be Niki Harris in Curtains. So much love to her family, boyfriend, friends, and professors for supporting her dreams!

Molly Virtue (Choreographer) She/Her- Molly is thrilled to be making her choreographic debut! She is a senior pursuing a degree in Musical Theatre and a minor in Dance. Select credits: Lorraine in Jersey Boys (The Phoenix Theater Company), Ensemble in The Sound of Music (Pittsburgh Musical Theater), Ensemble in Pippin (ASU MTO), and Baker’s Wife/Stepmother Standby in Into the Woods (ASU MTO). In her free time, Molly enjoys composing crude fridge poetry with her roommates and cheering on the Buffalo Bills.
