SEOupRank - Live SEO Analyzer (“Extension”, “we”, “our”, “us”) provides on-page SEO analysis while users browse websites. This Privacy Policy explains what data is processed, how it is used, and user choices.
## 1. What the Extension Does
The Extension analyzes SEO-related page elements such as:
- Page title
- Meta description
- Heading structure (H1/H2/H3)
- Image alt-text presence
- Canonical tag
- Viewport tag
- Indexability signals
- Link counts and related technical SEO checks
It may also:
- Export audit data to CSV (user action)
- Sync audit results to a connected dashboard account (if user logs in)
- Request optional AI suggestions (if configured)
## 2. Data We Process
### A. Website Content (for SEO analysis)
The Extension reads webpage content and metadata needed to generate SEO audit results.
This processing is limited to the extension’s single purpose: SEO analysis and reporting.
### B. Account / Authentication Data
If the user connects to the dashboard, the Extension processes:
- Email (for login)
- Password (submitted to backend login endpoint)
- Access/refresh tokens (stored locally for session continuity)
### C. Technical and Settings Data
Stored locally in Chrome storage:
- Extension settings (auto analyze, widget visibility, hidden domains, widget position)
- Last sync status and timestamps
- Session/auth state for connected dashboard account
### D. Audit Output Data
Generated SEO audit records may include:
- URL / hostname
- Score
- Summary metrics
- Detected issues
- Timestamp
If dashboard sync is enabled, these records are sent to your connected backend account.
## 3. How We Use Data
We use data only to:
- Run SEO analysis
- Display audit insights in the extension
- Export CSV when user requests
- Sync audits to the user’s dashboard account
- Provide optional AI recommendation output
We do **not** use data for advertising profiling, credit/lending decisions, or unrelated purposes.
## 4. Data Sharing
We do not sell user data.
Data is shared only with:
- Your configured backend service (for account auth and audit sync)
- Optional AI API endpoint (for suggestion generation, if enabled/configured)
## 5. Data Retention
- Local extension data remains in Chrome storage until cleared by user action, logout, or uninstall.
- Synced dashboard data retention is governed by your backend/server policy.
## 6. Security
We use reasonable measures to protect data in transit and at rest.
Users should keep credentials secure and use trusted networks/devices.
## 7. User Controls
Users can:
- Enable/disable auto analyze
- Hide widget on domains
- Logout from dashboard connection
- Export local reports
- Uninstall the extension to remove local extension data
## 8. Children’s Privacy
The Extension is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
## 9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be reflected by revising the effective date.
