Okay guys when Nova launcher prime was 49 cents a couple weeks ago during Christmas time I purchased it. I've been seeing for years. How awesome it is. Here I am. I've got it all set up and looking great, but I've noticed that there is no Google feed and seemingly no option to add it. Some quick Google searches show that I need some Google/ nova companion app available on the Play store. A lot of those same searches show people complaining from a year or two ago that the companion bridge is broken. There aren't any really recent hits on this. Here I am to ask the question if this is the latest news. Is the companion app still broken? Will I not be able to have the Google feed by swiping left from my homepage if I continue to use Nova launcher?

Your other problem is quite weird. Since lots of fairphone owners had no problem installing nova launcher, the problem might be with you specific. Some apps can be region locked, I doubt nova launcher would be, but might be a possibility.

In your display settings check to see if your status bar settings got turned off.

Drag down on your Home screen, you will see a gear icon. Tap on it then go to display then to status bar. Make sure all toggles are on.
