Magic Revision Builder Privacy Policy
What information do we collect?
The Google Workspace Add-on Magic Revision Builder collects no data whatsoever from the users. Not so Magic Apps has no access to any of the Google Data that you connect the Add-on to. The Add-on will process your data from your Google Workspace (Docs and Classroom) to function properly; however, at no point is this information saved on our servers or transferred outside of your Google account.
The only data that is processed is part of the Add-on's core functionality, such as gathering your Google Classroom assignments or student submissions, but again, at no point is this information saved or transferred by Not so Magic Apps. All configuration settings and temporary data are processed within the script execution of your own Google account.
The specific types of Google user data Magic Revision Builder accesses during its operations controlled by you are:
Google Classroom Courses, Topics, Coursework, & Submissions: Used to list the active Google Classrooms where you are a student, identify the topics created by your teacher, and access the titles and links of your submitted assignments (Drive files, YouTube videos, or web links).
Google Docs: Used to modify the active document you are working in to generate the revision guide, including creating headings, inserting links, and formatting the text structure.
All of the above are only accessed by the Add-on during its normal operations, and none of this data is transferred to or saved by Not so Magic Apps.
Magic Revision Builder's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as well as adhering to the Google APIs Terms of Service.
We only collect information from you directly when you report a problem via our Google Form or purchase a subscription for Magic Revision Builder. This is the only time any data is collected or recorded by us. We collect your name and email address if you choose to purchase one of our Add-on packages. This information is only collected to send confirmation emails and renewal notices. All information is kept secure and not shared with anyone.
Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data, and access to this data is severely restricted and protected. The highest security measures are put in place to ensure all personal data is protected. Access to all data is protected with multi-factor authentication. We also follow data minimisation so that the very minimum of data is ever stored and recorded.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you (via support requests or purchases) may be used in one of the following ways:
To improve our Add-on (we continually strive to improve our Add-on offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you).
To improve customer service (your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs).
Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever.
How long do we retain your data and how can you delete it?
Magic Revision Builder follows a strict policy of data minimisation and does not store your Google user data on any external servers.
Google User Data: Because all processing happens "in-memory" during the execution of the script, no Google Classroom or Google Docs data is retained by Not so Magic Apps once the Add-on finishes generating your document.
Configuration Data: Any settings you choose within the Add-on (such as your selected course) are stored locally within the Document Properties of your specific Google Doc. This data remains there only as long as that document exists.
Data Deletion: To "delete" your data from the Add-on, simply close the Sidebar or delete the Google Doc where the revision guide was generated. If you wish to revoke the Add-on’s access to your Google Account entirely, you can do so at any time via your Google Account Security Settings.
Support & Purchase Data: If you provide your name or email for support requests or subscriptions, we retain this information only for as long as is necessary to provide you with customer service or to maintain your active subscription. You may request the permanent deletion of this contact information at any time by emailing info@notsomagicapps.com, and we will process your request within 30 days.
