Magic Classroom Reuse Privacy Policy
What information do we collect?
The Google Apps Script web app Magic Classroom Reuse collects no data whatsoever from its users. Not so Magic Apps has no access to any of the Google Data you connect the web app to.
The app processes data from your Google Workspace (specifically Google Classroom) to function properly; however, at no point is this information saved on our servers or transferred outside of your Google account. The only data processed is part of the app's core functionality—such as gathering your courses, listing assignments, and copying posts between classes—but again, at no point is this information saved or transferred by Not so Magic Apps. All operations occur within the Google Apps Script environment, execution happens on Google's infrastructure, and data remains within your Google domain.
The specific types of Google user data Magic Classroom Reuse accesses during its operations controlled by you are:
Google Classroom Courses: Used to list your active classes so you can select a "Source" and "Destination" class.
Google Classroom CourseWork: Used to retrieve the titles, descriptions, and materials of assignments or announcements from your source class so they can be duplicated.
Google Classroom Topics: Used to read the organizational structure of your source class and automatically recreate those same topics in your destination class.
All of the above are only accessed by the app during its normal operations, and none of this data is transferred to or saved by Not so Magic Apps.
Magic Classroom Reuse's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements, as well as adhering to the Google APIs Terms of Service.
We only collect information from you directly when you report a problem via our contact channels or if you purchase a subscription for our tools. This is the only time any data is collected or recorded by us. We collect your name and email address if you choose to purchase one of our packages. This information is only collected to send confirmation emails and renewal notices. All information is kept secure and not shared with anyone.
Security procedures are in place to protect the confidentiality of your data, and access to this data is severely restricted and protected. The highest security measures are put in place to ensure all personal data is protected. Access to all data is protected with multi-factor authentication. We also follow data minimisation so that the very minimum of data is ever stored and recorded.
What do we use your information for?
Any of the information we collect from you (via support requests or purchases) may be used in one of the following ways:
To improve our web app: We continually strive to improve our offerings based on the information and feedback we receive from you.
To improve customer service: Your information helps us to more effectively respond to your customer service requests and support needs.
Your information, whether public or private, will not be sold, exchanged, transferred, or given to any other company for any reason whatsoever.
How long do we retain your data and how can you delete it?
Magic Classroom Reuse follows a strict policy of data minimisation and does not store your Google user data on any external servers.
Google User Data: Because all processing happens "in-memory" during the execution of the script, no Google Classroom data is retained by Not so Magic Apps once the webapp finishes copying your posts.
Configuration Data: Any settings you choose within the webapp (such as your selected course) are stored locally within the webapp. This data remains there only as long as you have the webapp open.
Data Deletion: To "delete" your data from the webapp, simply close the browser window. If you wish to revoke the webapp’s access to your Google Account entirely, you can do so at any time via your Google Account Security Settings.
Support & Purchase Data: If you provide your name or email for support requests or subscriptions, we retain this information only for as long as is necessary to provide you with customer service or to maintain your active subscription. You may request the permanent deletion of this contact information at any time by emailing info@notsomagicapps.com, and we will process your request within 30 days.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous information about how often users interact with the app.
