Our Mission Statement and Code of Conduct provide a clear outline of the Club's objectives, values, and expectations for members. These guidelines and principles aim to create a positive and inclusive pickleball community, where members enjoy the game while respecting one another and the facilities they use.
Mission Statement
NOTL Pickleball Club supports the growth, development and enjoyment of pickleball in our community. In collaboration with governments and private sector organizations, we will:
Foster a safe, respectful, welcoming environment during Club events for all members, guests and visitors.
Provide try-out opportunities for those new to the game.
Provide sufficient year-round court times for Club and public use by accessing available indoor and outdoor local facilities.
Provide a variety of sessions for players of all levels in a mix of recreational and competitive settings.
Encourage the growth of all players through skills-development and practice sessions.
Encourage competitive-minded players to participate in regional, provincial and national tournaments.
Provide social events that foster a strong sense of mutual respect and community.
Code of Conduct
When involved in any Club activity, whether as a participant, spectator, official, volunteer, representative, or in any other capacity, every member is expected to:
Treat other members, their guests, and visitors with respect;
Exhibit fairness and honesty both on and off the court in dealings with other members;
Support and encourage the growth of all members;
Assist with Club activities when possible if within the member's skills and experience;
NOT engage in behaviour that would endanger the health, safety, or well-being of any member;
NOT engage in behaviour that would harm the Club or the ability of Club Directors to fulfill their duties;
NOT engage in unsporting conduct or encourage others to;
NOT use profanity or abusive language.
