This Privacy Policy applies to the Notion Saver browser extension (“the Extension”) and the personal data processed when you use its features.
Information We Collect
To deliver core functionality, the Extension obtains authorization via Notion’s official OAuth 2.0 flow and stores the following information locally:
Access Token: Used to call the Notion API on your behalf.
User ID: Used to identify your Notion account.
User Name: Used to display your login status in the Extension interface.
Authorized pages/databases list: Used to let you choose where to save content.
How We Store Information
Local-only storage: All the above information is stored exclusively in your local Chrome browser storage (chrome.storage.local).
No remote transmission: Your information is never sent, uploaded, or stored on any remote server or third-party service.
Your control: Your data remains fully owned and controlled by you.
How We Use Information
All operations occur within your local browser environment, including:
Using the access token to call the Notion API for saving web pages, highlights, and querying databases.
Using your username and login status to improve the Extension’s interface experience.
Using the authorized pages/databases list to let you choose a save destination within the Extension.
Deletion of Information
Your locally stored information (including access tokens and user details) will be immediately and permanently deleted when you:
Click the “Log out” button within the Extension; or
Revoke the Extension’s authorization in your Notion account.
Data Security Measures
Data minimization: We only store information locally that is strictly necessary for core functionality.
Controlled access: We call the Notion API only after you grant authorization.
Local isolation: Information stays within your browser’s local storage to avoid remote transmission risks.
Your Rights
You may at any time:
Revoke authorization by removing the Extension’s access in your Notion account.
Delete local data by using the “Log out” function in the Extension.
Manage choices by adjusting your selected target pages/databases within the Extension.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page and take effect from the “Last Updated” date. Material changes will be communicated through appropriate notices.
