This Privacy Policy explains how NotifyTone ("the App"), operated by Sodonika ("we", "us"), handles information. NotifyTone is built to be privacy-first: it runs entirely on your device and has no servers of its own.
NotifyTone lets you assign a custom notification sound (and optional vibration) to each app on your device. To do this it uses Android's Notification Access. It never reads, stores, or transmits the content of your notifications — no message text, titles, sender names, phone numbers, or contacts. We do not operate any server, and we do not use analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.
NotifyTone does not read, log, store, or transmit any of the following: notification text or titles, message content, sender or contact names, phone numbers, email addresses, or any other content-bearing field of a notification.
To decide which sound to play, the App processes the following non-content data locally on your device only:
The package name (technical identifier) of the app that posted a notification, and its display name;
Non-content notification metadata such as the notification id, notification channel id, and flags like "ongoing" or "group summary";
The sound rules, settings, and preferences you create in the App.
All of this data is stored only on your device (using Android's local Room database and DataStore). It is never sent to us or to any third party.
NotifyTone requires Notification Access (the Android NotificationListenerService permission) because that is the only way an app can react to notifications from other apps. The App uses this access solely to detect that a notification arrived and which app posted it, so it can play the sound you assigned. You can revoke Notification Access at any time in your device's system settings, which disables the App's core function.

Vibrate — for the optional per-app vibration patterns.
Internet — used only to process the optional Premium purchase through Google Play Billing. No notification data, app data, or settings are ever transmitted.
File access via the system document picker — if you choose a custom sound file, Android grants the App a persisted permission to read that specific file only.
NotifyTone offers an optional one-time Premium purchase. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details or billing information. Google's handling of your payment data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy. The App stores only a local flag indicating whether Premium is active.
The only third-party service NotifyTone relies on is Google Play (for app distribution and, if you buy Premium, billing). NotifyTone does not integrate any advertising network, analytics provider, or crash-reporting service.
Because all data stays on your device, you are in full control of it. You can:
Clear all local data from within the App (Settings → Privacy → "Clear local data");
Revoke Notification Access in system settings; and/or
Uninstall the App, which removes all of its local data.
Your data never leaves your device, which removes the risks associated with transmitting or storing data on remote servers. Data is protected by Android's standard app-sandboxing.
NotifyTone is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country) and does not knowingly collect any personal information from them. Since the App collects no personal data at all, it poses no data-collection risk to any user.
Depending on where you live (for example under Türkiye's KVKK or the EU GDPR), you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data. Because NotifyTone stores no personal data on any server and keeps everything on your device, you can exercise full control directly through the App and your device settings. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, within the App.
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye.
