In regard to the item issue, to confirm, the item creator is being notified of all changes to the item or is this happening to the board creator? I ask this as this is expected behaviour as the board owner. That said you are able to mute these notifications via the notifications settings in the board. Demonstration below:

For the other issue, it is the item creator getting all of the updates. I moved the item from the board they created to a board that they are not on. Then I wrote an update to it and they received an email.

I was able to test this and trigger a notification based on a comment being added when my Notification rule was set to "When anything on the sheet changes." I've attached an example of my settings below. Please let me know if this does not work for you!

I think that you can make this work with a System Column as well; I just did some testing and I was able to see the notification come through with a rule to notify when "a row is added, updated, or deleted" set up to go to a "Contact in column." I was able to choose my Created By System Column as well.

I've set up the rule as per the attached screenshot but the creators are still not receiving notifications for new comments. Could there be a conflict as I also have a rule notifying me of any changes?

Thought I'd follow up to this. I added a notification to a record today and instantly received an email warning that there were invalid recipients for my alerts, not something that has happened before, is this a new feature?

I'm a Jira admin that have loaded many issues from CSV files, although I was careful to change the Reporter in all of this issues and also have stopped watching all this issues but I still receive notifications. Is an issue creator an automatic watcher for that issue? I just can't find a way to stop receiving notifications, I hope someone can help me.

Looking back to when I started working at ServiceNow, when you wanted to send an email notifying a user of changes to their tasks, you would need an event defined in the event registry, a business rule entry creating the event queue record, and a notification that fired when the event was processed. You could pass the recipient in the event parameters (or any other information for that matter, but usually it was the recipient), and there was this checkbox, "send to event creator," that made sure that if you were the user who updated the record, you would not get an email on top of your own personal action.

I tested this in my Eureka instance, and yes, even though the notification is not sent based on the event, if you want to be the recipient of an email upon an action you performed (e.g. insert or update of an incident), you must mark the checkbox that says "send to event creator"!

Following the Android Wear 2.0 update, notifications are no longer visible, it would take a notification counter like the Jstew182 application as well.

Also please check if there is any other notification that is getting triggered when you are updating the HR Case. There may be some other notificaiton that is getting triggered which has event created checked on notification.

Today I subscribed to a patreon page, but from the creator side of things, the sub was notified to all of my patrons, it told everyone that I JUST subscribed to that other page, which I find very weird. I don't need my patrons to see who I follow, is there a way to disable this??

My point is, in order to remember all the PR I've created through out different organization, I would like to be notified by email for every pull request I've created. Is there a way to create a notification without specifying my actual name, but using something like "@Me", or "initiator"? So that this notification can be set as a project / team level, and being applied to each team member if they want?

I would like the option to set my notification preference to "Yes" when an activity that I created, but am not an Attendee on is completed. Anyone know how to turn this app off/so it doesn't start up in the background. This app randomly decides to start up on its own and i get annoying notification that it can't find the camera. Then I'll have to go into settings and then app and force stop it again. It's super annoying and makes me just want to uninstall it completely.

Ok. I do spent less time on the app, but I did know you couldn't see a creator's profile when you search for them, only their works. Does this apply to messages (on walls) too? Under the INBOX tab of the app, there is GIFTS, MESSAGES, and ACTIVITY. But I've never received a message there, only announcements from tapas. Does the same answer apply for that, too? It's so silly too. =_= If I wanna make an announcement on my wall I'd make an announcement thinking my desktop and mobile users would receive it. I never understood why I'd need to press the bell button EVERY TIME I wanted to make a public post it should just be automatic or a set setting. And mobile users don't even get the notification?! What's the point of the wall then?! sigh.

Are we trying to incorporate Twitter to be the new wall? Because I have hard time getting my user on that platform and everything gets drowned there.

Is this in fear that an app wall will be swarmed with too many personal nonsense that belongs to FB or twitter?

Working on this further. I think this has something to do with the skip page rules I'm using to allow different forms of payment. This is the first time I've used pages at all and also the first time I've had any issues with email notifications. Tried changing all sorts of things and nothing seems to work.

EDIT: Almost positively is something with the pages. When I follow all the way through with a paypal payment the email notification sends no problem. I've tried setting various rules to send notifications on different actions with no luck. No notification when user chooses check / money order or when they start to do a paypal payment but don't actually finish it. 006ab0faaa
