NoteTube – YouTube Transcript to Text is a browser extension that allows users to extract and export publicly available transcripts from YouTube videos.

Authentication credentials

When you activate the extension on a YouTube video page, NoteTube temporarily reads publicly available transcript content from that page in order to display it in the extension popup.
This processing:

The transcript data remains on your device.
NoteTube may use the browser’s local storage to save user preferences such as:
Selected export format (plain text or Markdown)
Transcript cleaning options (e.g., remove timestamps)

NoteTube does not use remote code.
All scripts are packaged within the extension and run locally in the browser.
