This Privacy Policy describes how (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the Noteroom mobile application (the “App”), available on Google Play.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
When you use NoteRoom, the App may store the following locally on your device:
Notes (titles, text content, checklists)
Folders, labels, and tags
Reminders and reminder settings
Favorites, pinned notes, archived notes, and trash
App settings (theme, font size, language preferences, notification settings)
Optional app lock PIN (if you enable it)
Recent search terms within the App
Backup/export files you create
This data is saved using your device’s local storage (Android app data / SharedPreferences). We do not automatically upload this content to our servers.
If you choose to use sharing or export features, you may send note content or backup files to other apps or services you select (such as email, messaging, cloud storage, or file managers).
We do not control how those third-party services handle your data. Please review their privacy policies.
We do not intentionally collect:
Name, email address, or phone number (unless you email us for support)
Precise location
Contacts, photos, or microphone recordings (unless you later add features that require them and we update this policy)
Payment or financial information (the App is currently free of in-app purchases in this version)
Advertising identifiers for targeted advertising
Analytics or crash reporting tied to your identity (unless added later and disclosed here)
We use information processed by the App only to:
Provide core App features (create, edit, organize, search, archive, and delete notes)
Save your preferences and settings
Enable optional security features (such as app lock)
Allow optional export, import, and sharing at your request
Respond to support requests if you contact us
We do not use your notes for advertising or sell your data to third parties.
Your notes and settings are stored on your device. If you uninstall the App or clear app data, this information may be permanently deleted unless you have exported a backup.
If you enable app lock, your PIN is stored locally on your device to protect access to the App. We do not receive your PIN.
We take reasonable steps to protect information processed by the App, including local storage on your device. However, no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your device secure (screen lock, PIN, etc.).
The App may use third-party components or services, including:
The App may download font files from Google Fonts to display text. This may involve a connection to Google’s servers. Google’s privacy practices are governed by Google’s policies.
When you share a note or backup, Android opens apps you choose. Those apps process data under their own policies.
If you download the App from Google Play, Google may collect information according to Google Play’s terms and privacy policy.
If we add Google Drive or other cloud sync in a future update, we will update this Privacy Policy and the Google Play Data Safety section before or when that feature becomes available.
NoteRoom requests only the permissions needed for its features. Depending on your device and App version, this may include:
Permission / capability
Purpose
Internet
May be used for font downloads (Google Fonts) and future online features
Share / export
Lets you share notes or backup files through other apps you choose
The App does not require access to your contacts, location, camera, or microphone for current core note-taking features.
NoteRoom is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your country). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Delete your data by deleting notes in the App, clearing app data, or uninstalling the App
Export your notes using the App’s backup/export feature
