Does anyone know of any notepad++ plugin that saves a version of whatever I'm working on periodically? Ideally, it would save many versions with the automatic version number and the date in the title, and perhaps store them in a zipped archive to save space.

I use Windows and downloaded version 3.0 by mingw installer, as my pc is weak I tried to use notepad++, after compiling the code and trying to run the .exe there was an OpenGL error, as far as I know raylib is compatible with OpenGL 2.1 my computer uses 3.1, how can I change the OpenGL version in notepad++?

XML Notepad is the result of a promise Chris Lovett made to a friend at Microsoft. The original XMLNotepad shipped in back in 1998, written by Murray Low in C++. Later on it fell behind in supportfor XML standards and, because we didn't have time to fix it, we pulled the downloader. But Murrayapparently did such a nice job that MSDN was inundated with requests to put the notepad back up, sothey asked for a replacement.

I stupidly clicked the button, and it appeared to switch to a new version of notepad. At least, the offer to launch the new version disappeared.

I eventually ended up in a nightmare of installing the Microsoft Store notepad (which seemed to be "new version" that was being offered).

It installed but I think it trashed my old c:\windows\system32\notepad.exe installation.

After spending several wasted hours reading up on the errors and trying to debug it, uninstalling the notepad store app, checking all my disks (they are good), reinstalling some 2013 C++ redistributables, and otherwise wasting my time, I still get the error above. My code has been working for many months until this notepad headache started.

In visual studio, this is the full error. I no longer have a side-by-side installation of notepad, to the best of my knowledge. I could not find anything in the "application event log" (was I looking in the right place?). And I don't know how to use the sxstrace.exe tool. The problem showed up when I stupidly clicked the LAUNCH button offer of the new notepad. Something in that process screwed up the "side-by-side" installation, whatever that is.

They fixed it in KB3138367 and provided a new installer that would ensure both x86 and x64 versions were installed. I installed that one, reinstalled the latest notepad app from the MS store, and the issue went away for a few hours. The link to that KB version is below.

I'm trying to write a shell script that lists versions of specific packages that are installed. However, this command does not display what version of Notepad++ is installed:

notepad-plus-plus --version

What is the correct command to find this info?

I am not a VBA expert but I too copy the data from excel and paste the data to notepad with the help of a code shared online. I can share the code which works for me but can't explain more. Edit the code as per your sheet name, define the varialbes and check it out. Hope it helps.

I just started using LibreOffice because I want to stop using Micosoft products. I was excited to know I could do my excel work in Calc, so I just opened my existing xlsx files in Calc and continued working in them. I do a lot of copying data from websites and pasting it into my spreadsheets. To eliminate formatting problems I usually paste the data from the websites into notepad first, and then copy and paste it into my spreadsheet. At first I notice some slight problems with pasting into Calc, but I thought I just did not know the program yet. And I was able to paste the data into Calc but over time it became increasingly more difficult to paste into the program. Now no matter what I do I am not able to copy and paste into Calc. Is there some known reason for this behavior? It has caused me to abandon using LibreOffice because it is not able to do such a basic function as copy and paste. If this is a known bug I will return to LibreOffice when there is a fix. But if it is not, then that would lead me to believe there is either something I am doing out of the ordinary or the Calc program is intentionally not allowing me to paste, but not telling me why. If that is the case I would like an explanation.

I am using LibreOffice 7.0.5.2 and running Windows 10 Home, Version 20H2, OS Build 19042.928.

This was interesting, since I seemed to have deleted the right parts, so I tested the same thing with new files. I created a kdbx file, copied it, opened one of them in notepad and saved it, then tried to open the saved file in KeePass and I get the same error. I then tested the files in ExamDiff to see if the files had changed and they are identical. It seems that merely opening a kdbx file in Notepad and saving it is enough to make it so it won't open in KeePass.

Background:  The Catquest-9SF questionnaire is a patient reported outcome measure that quantifies the visual benefits from cataract surgery. The purpose of this study was to translate and adapt the Catquest-9SF questionnaire for France, to assess its psychometric properties via Rasch analysis, and to assess its validity when completed using an electronic notepad.

Methods:  The Catquest-9SF questionnaire was translated following the guidelines of the International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research. Catquest-9SF and clinical data were collected from patients before and after routine cataract surgery. All questionnaire data were collected via an electronic notepad. Rasch analysis was performed to assess psychometric properties, and sensitivity to change was analysed for patients with complete paired pre- and post-operative questionnaires.

Results:  A complete filled-in preoperative questionnaire was obtained for 848 patients. Rasch analysis showed good precision (person separation: 2.32, person reliability: 0.84), ordered category probability curves, no item misfit, and unidimensionality. The respondents were slightly more able than the level of item difficulty (targeting: -1.12 logits). Sensitivity was analysed on 211 paired questionnaires, and the postoperative questionnaires showed a clear ceiling effect. The effect size was 2.6. The use of an electronic notepad for completing the questionnaire worked out very well after some adjustments.

Postable windows have a Post button to post the window. Clicking on thePost button hides the window and adds its controls to a new tab in thenotepad area. Posting windows allows you to have several windows active atthe same time without cluttering the screen. When a window is posted, itsPost button turns to an UnPost button that, when clicked, removesthe posted window from the Notepad area and displays the window in itsown window. Figure 1.5 shows an example of awindow with a Post button and also shows the same window when it isposted to the notepad area. ff782bc1db
