Welcome to NoteLarm ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how NoteLarm handles your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
1. Information Collection and Storage
A. Local Storage Only
NoteLarm is designed as a privacy-focused, offline-first notepad and reminder application.
All your created notes, titles, text contents, categories, color preferences, and reminder alarm settings are stored 100% locally on your device.
We do not operate cloud servers to store, view, collect, transmit, or process your notes or personal data.
Your data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the local backup export feature.
B. No Personal Identifiable Information (PII)
We do not require you to create an account, register, or provide personal details (such as your name, email address, phone number, or location) to use NoteLarm.
2. Device Permissions Used
NoteLarm requests certain Android device permissions strictly to provide core alarm and reminder functionality:
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM & USE_EXACT_ALARM
Required to schedule precise clock alarms at your specified date and time, even when the App is in the background or closed.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Required to display reminder alerts and status bar notifications on Android 13+.
VIBRATE & WAKE_LOCK
Required to wake up the screen and trigger vibration when an alarm rings, ensuring you do not miss critical reminders.
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED
Required to automatically reschedule your active alarms after your phone restarts.
USE_FULL_SCREEN_INTENT
Required to show the full-screen alarm ringing interface over your lock screen when an alarm is triggered.
3. Data Backup & Export
NoteLarm provides a manual backup and restore feature using encoded strings (NLCODE-).
When you export a backup, a text code containing your encrypted/encoded local notes is generated locally on your device.
You are solely responsible for saving and managing your backup codes. We do not store or have access to your backup codes.
4. Third-Party Services and Analytics
NoteLarm does not integrate third-party tracking, advertising SDKs (such as Google AdMob), analytics tools, or data brokers that track your activity across apps.
5. Children's Privacy
NoteLarm is safe for users of all ages, including children. Because we do not collect any personal data, we do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13.
6. Security
Since all data is stored locally on your mobile device, your notes are protected by your Android device's native security features (such as screen lock, PIN, fingerprint, or encryption). We recommend keeping your device secure.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be updated on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
