1. OVERVIEW
This Privacy Policy explains how NoteFlow - Daily Notes ("NoteFlow", the "App") handles information when you use the App.
NoteFlow is a local-first notes application. The App does not require an account and does not operate developer-owned servers. Based on the current version of the App:
Your notes are created, searched, displayed, edited, and deleted on your device.
The App does not send your notes or search queries to the developer.
The App does not contain advertising, analytics, tracking, social media, billing, or crash-reporting SDKs.
The App does not sell personal information.
Android system backup or device-transfer services may copy eligible app data off the device when those services are enabled. This system-managed backup behavior is explained below.
2. INFORMATION YOU PROVIDE
The App processes note titles and descriptions you enter. Search text is only used to filter note titles on your device and is not saved as a separate search history.
3. INFORMATION NOT COLLECTED BY THE APP
The current App does not request, access, collect, or transmit location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, payment information, advertising identifiers, analytics, diagnostics, or crash reports.
The App does not require registration, sign-in, or creation of a user account.
4. HOW INFORMATION IS USED
Information entered into the App is processed only to provide note-taking features, including creating notes, editing notes, searching titles, moving notes to deleted notes, recovering deleted notes, and permanently deleting notes.
5. LOCAL STORAGE
Active and deleted notes are stored in a Room database named "notes_db" within the App's private storage area on your Android device.
The App does not currently provide cloud synchronization, a web account, or developer-operated remote storage.
6. ANDROID BACKUP AND DEVICE TRANSFER
The App currently allows Android backup. If backup or device transfer is enabled in your Android or Google account settings, Android may copy eligible App data, potentially including the local notes database.
These operations are performed by Android and the backup provider, not by NoteFlow's developer.
7. DATA SHARING, SALE, AND DISCLOSURE
The App does not transmit your note content to the developer and does not share or sell it to advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties.
8. THIRD-PARTY SOFTWARE AND SERVICES
The App uses AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, Material 3, Room, Kotlin Coroutines, and Koin.
No Firebase, Google Analytics, AdMob, advertising, social login, payment, remote crash reporting, or behavioral-tracking SDK is integrated in the current version.
9. PERMISSIONS
The current App does not declare Android permissions for internet access, location, contacts, camera, microphone, notifications, storage, or other protected device data.
10. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Active notes remain in the local database until you move them to deleted notes, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App.
Deleted notes remain in deleted-notes history until you recover or permanently delete them.
11. YOUR CHOICES AND CONTROLS
You can edit notes, move notes to deleted notes, recover deleted notes, permanently delete deleted notes, clear local App storage, uninstall the App, and review Android backup settings.
12. SECURITY
The App relies on Android's application sandbox to isolate its local database from other apps. No storage method can guarantee absolute protection.
13. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
NoteFlow is a general-purpose productivity app and is not specifically directed to children. The App does not knowingly transmit personal information from children to the developer.
14. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the App's features, data practices, third-party libraries, legal obligations, or distribution methods change.
