About this policy
NotebookLM PowerKit is a browser extension that helps users collect, organize, manage, and export research in NotebookLM. This policy explains how the extension handles information when providing those features.
Information the extension handles
Depending on the features you use, NotebookLM PowerKit handles:
Research content: NotebookLM conversations, questions, answers, citations, source titles and extracted text, Studio artifacts, and available audio or video resources.
Content you choose to save: Supported-platform conversations, selected website text, document or video links, imported files, pasted text, and links discovered from webpages or feeds you specify.
Page and tab information: Website addresses, page titles, document and conversation identifiers, and open-tab metadata used for platform detection, notebook account selection, clipping, and imports.
Saved preferences: Custom prompts, edited templates, favorites, notebook folders, tags, and recent notebook destinations.
Usage information: Local feature-use counts, dates, and temporary operation records used to manage Free allowances.
Authentication information: Existing service sessions and temporary tokens needed to perform requested actions while you are signed in.
License information: Your license key, activation identifier, product and variant identifiers, license status, expiration information, and verification timestamps.
Selected content may contain personal or sensitive information. The extension processes that information as part of the content you choose to use.
How information is used
Information is used to provide the extension’s research features, generate exports, save content to your chosen notebook, manage sources, maintain preferences, display usage, and activate or verify Pro access.
The extension reads page addresses to recognize supported websites and respond to navigation. It does not maintain a general browsing-history database.
The current extension does not include advertising trackers or send feature-use analytics to a developer-operated analytics service. Usage counters are stored locally.
Local processing and storage
Export preparation generally takes place in your browser. Downloaded files are saved through your browser or operating system.
Prompts, organization preferences, recent destinations, usage records, and license information are stored in the extension’s local browser storage. This storage is not an encrypted vault provided by PowerKit.
Captured content may remain temporarily in memory while a preview, export, print view, or operation is active. The extension does not upload your research library to a Rovelin Studio content-storage server.
Connections and sharing
PowerKit communicates with external services when required for its features:
Google and NotebookLM: To read your notebooks and requested content, save selected research, and perform notebook or source operations.
Supported platforms: To retrieve the current conversation or content you request to capture. Automatic integrations support ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, YouTube, and Google Docs.
Websites and feeds you specify: To retrieve content or discover links for import.
Lemon Squeezy: To provide checkout and activate, validate, or deactivate your license.
When you save content to NotebookLM, that content and relevant metadata are transmitted to Google. Those copies are subject to Google’s policies and your NotebookLM account settings.
These services receive ordinary connection information, such as your IP address, as part of network requests. Their handling of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
Authentication
PowerKit uses your existing signed-in service sessions for supported operations. Where needed, it temporarily reads authentication tokens or account-context identifiers to make requests to the relevant service.
Service tokens are not intentionally stored in PowerKit’s persistent extension storage or sent to Lemon Squeezy. Your Pro license key is stored locally and sent to Lemon Squeezy for licensing operations.
Purchases and licensing
Payments take place on Lemon Squeezy’s hosted checkout. PowerKit does not collect payment-card numbers.
License responses may include customer identity and order metadata. The extension stores the license and activation fields needed to maintain Pro access; it does not persist the purchaser name, email, or order identifiers from those responses in its license record.
Rovelin Studio may access purchase and customer records through its merchant account to provide billing and license support. Lemon Squeezy’s handling of checkout and payment information is described in its Privacy Policy.
Data use restrictions
Rovelin Studio does not sell extension user data, use it for personalized advertising, or use it to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
Information is used and transferred only as necessary for the disclosed research and licensing features, support you request, or applicable legal obligations.
NotebookLM PowerKit’s handling of information received from Google services follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Retention and deletion
Local preferences and license records remain until removed, replaced, or cleared. Daily usage allowances reset automatically; temporary operation records expire.
You can remove custom prompts and organization items through the extension. To remove the local license record, use successful license deactivation. Deactivation does not cancel a subscription.
Uninstalling the extension normally removes its local browser storage. It does not delete downloaded files, revoke an existing remote license activation, cancel a subscription, or remove sources already saved in NotebookLM.
Delete downloaded files through your device and manage saved NotebookLM content through Google. Purchase and support records may be retained as necessary for billing, resolving requests, and legal obligations.
Your choices and security
You can review supported captured text before saving, choose notebook destinations, restrict website access in Chrome, disable integrations by restricting access, or uninstall the extension.
NotebookLM and licensing requests use HTTPS. User-specified webpage or feed imports may use HTTP if you provide an HTTP address. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
