Library Makeover for Flexible Use

When I asked our students what they would like to see in our library if they could design it, the most common response was comfortable seating. Our next priority was providing tables and chairs that could accommodate a large class or group.

We wanted everything to be flexible and mobile so that we could reconfigure them for multiple uses, whether it was a whole group or smaller, collaborative clusters.

We also needed to be able to move things of the way - for Book Fairs, social gatherings, or any purpose.

We added some tables to our Makerspace and to a side table in the lounge that allow our patrons to plug in a laptop or recharge a mobile device with ease. We also have a new sound system that can be used for audio ambiance or rich multimedia presentations.

We hope you like it. We want our patrons to be inspired, productive, and comfortable. We want the Library @ the Ridge to be your "Happy Place."
