North Madison P.R.I.D.E. Expectations
North Madison had lots of learning during our shorter four day week. Even though most people came back tired on Tuesday, high expectations were presented and met. It is truly hard to believe next week is the last week in February. As we keep moving along, please know that expectations for behaviors and academics will remain high on a daily basis. Additionally, we only have two weeks left in this nine weeks. If you have not been checking grades, please do that now so that you are not caught off guard either way.
Many students have brought headphones to school to use during the day. It is extremely helpful for everyone if students do have headphones at school. These do not need to be fancy expensive headphones, and we actually sell some for $1 in our 6th grade ran bookstore. These are not on the supply lists and not mandatory, but they would help your student. It can be become difficult to hear with multiple devices reading or being used for certain learning activities.
In February we are asking our students to focus on the Character Trait of RESPECT. Almost 50 kid were recognized in January, and we are looking to do the same this month.
Sickness continues to go around, so please be mindful of that when kids have fevers, are coughing and sneezing everywhere, and more. The number one thing we can do is wash our hands multiple times a day.
Please remember that our back doors are locked when our 9:00 AM bell rings. If you are directed to the front or if the doors are locked, you need to go to the front and sign in as being tardy. Our bell rings in the building and outside the building for everyone to hear.
- Please wear and bring coats, pants, hats, and gloves as classes will be going outside on days that the weather permits. If you are in need of any items, please let us know as we may have resources to help.
- As we get more rain, ice, and snow, please slow down and be careful in the parking lot. It helps if everyone stays off of phones, and watches out for the kids.
North Madison has kicked off a donation campaign to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Collection boxes have already been sent home, and we are thankful for you donations. If the boxes get full your child can bring them in and I will empty them and send the box home for more donations. Additionally, students can purchase blood droplet papers for $1 and put their name on them. These will be hung around the school. Our goal is $1000! We have done an amazing job so far and had a strong start. Please keep this going for a great cause!
