Lettering in Choir

To LETTER IN CHOIR (grades 9-12) a student must meet the following requirements:

1. Student must be in good standing:

• Attendance at all concerts and extra rehearsals
• Maintain an average of 80 or above in choir
• Positively contribute to the choir in attitude and work ethic
• Not have excessive absences as defined by the student handbook

2. Student must accumulate a minimum of 10 points from the following:

• Chorale Member (attended all performances; full years at other schools previously attended count)
  • 1 Year 2 pts
  • 2 Years 4 pts
  • 3 Years 6 pts
  • 4 years 10 pts
• Vocal Point Member (1 point per semester)
  • Number of semesters _____ x 1pt = _______pts

The following are for current year only (previous years do not accumulate):

• Region Choir Member 2 pts
• All-State Choir Member 2 pts
• Region Solo/Ensemble – Superior Rating (I) 1 pt
• State Solo/Ensemble – Superior Rating (I) 2 pts
• Musical Cast Member 1 pt
• Choir Officer for current year 1 pt
