NRECPTA Committees

Duties of Executive Board & Committee Chairs

President: Preside over meetings, oversees ByLaws and Standing Rules, assist committees as needed.

First VP Coordinator: Maintains, posts, and updates NRECPTA Facebook pages. Birthday Program. Runs meeting if president is unable to attend.

Second VP Fundraising: Coordinates Family Photo Fundraiser - advertising, time slot sign-ups day of needs. Along with any other fundraising opportunities throughout the school year. Sits on budget committee.

Third VP Membership: Coordinate membership sign-ups - new and returning members. Creates fun opportunities for membership drives. Works with the state PTA on membership matters. Greet members at meetings, coordinate sign-in.

Secretary: Records and provides meeting minutes, carries a copy of ByLaws and Standing Rules.

Treasurer: Custodian of the funds, provide monthly ledger and file annual report with OH PTA office, file taxes in Nov, provide records to Audit committee, disburse/deposit funds from members.

Council Delegates: Attend PTA Council meetings, be on the Nominating Committee or Founder's Night Committee.

Committee Chair Descriptions

Children's Outings: Coordinate children's outings at least once per month.

Community Festival/Membership Drives: Coordinates participation in the North Royalton Home Days and/or other community gathers. As well as coordinates membership drive opportunities.

Community Outreach: Liaison for community affairs and events. Coordinates community outreach opportunities throughout the year (ex. holidays adopt-a-family, local animal shelters, stuffed animal drives, coats for kids etc.)

Family Outings: Conduct a family outing at least once per month.

Financial Review: Conduct monthly reconciliation of financial books.

Health & Safety: Provides health and safety information to NRECPTA.

Mom's Outings: Coordinates activities for the mom's at least once a month. Coordinate end of year Mother's Day/membership appreciation event.

Nominating Committee: Meets to discuss officers for the next school year.  Presents slate of officers at February meeting.

Scholarship Committee: Coordinates awarding scholarships at end of school year.

Fall Party: Organizes a fall party for NRECPTA families in either September or October.

Holiday Party: Organizes a Holiday Party for NRECPTA families in December.

Winter Party: Organizes a winter party for NRECPTA families in either January or February.

Spring Party: Organizes a spring party for NRECPTA families in either March or April.
