PRESIDENT: Shall represent North Royalton High School PTA at community functions or appoint a representative. The President is an ex-officio member of every committee except nominating and financial/audit. Attend monthly presidents meetings.
FIRST VICE PRESIDENT: Shall serve as chairperson of membership and coordinates annual membership drive. Prepares digital membership platform on MemberHub and a flyer with details about how to complete PTA membership online. Collects volunteer hours from Committee Chairs, Secretary and meetings. Keeps track of volunteer hours and submits this information to the Ohio PTA at the end of the year.
SECOND VICE PRESIDENT: Shall serve as fundraising co-chairperson as Craft Show Coordinator and serve as Chairperson of one Craft Show Committee, except the Kitchen co-chair Committee.
THIRD VICE PRESIDENT: Shall serve as fundraising co-chairperson of the Craft Show which handles the vendor Contracts.
FOURTH VICE PRESIDENT: Shall be chairperson of the Craft Show Kitchen, they will work with the Kitchen Co-chair and Vendor Lunches committees.
SECRETARY: Shall record and publish the minutes of each monthly meeting. Shall handle all correspondence, including sending notice of all meetings, in accordance with the Bylaws, and events each month.
TREASURER: Shall provide a financial statement, balance sheet and actual to budget report at each meeting.
COUNCIL DELEGATES/ALTERNATE DELEGATE: Shall attend North Royalton PTA Council meetings; shall report unit updates to the council and then report back council updates to the PTA unit; shall vote as a representative of North Royalton High School PTA on council issues; and shall perform duties assigned to them as council members. Each delegate is to either be on the Nominating Committee or Founders’ Night Committee of the North Royalton PTA Council, as elected.
CONFERENCE NIGHTS (Fall/Winter) Coordinates water and a small treat for each teacher at tables for conferences.
Craft Fair Advertising Assists with contacting local papers (Royalton Recorder), community marquees
(NR &BVH), Administration building, HS and ES to post information about craft fair. Also assists with social
media promotion.
Craft Fair Admissions/Volunteer Admission area and volunteer coordinator helps with recruiting
volunteers to manage the admission stations typically (2-4) in 2 hour increments for the duration of the
fair. This person also helps to create, slate, and disperse volunteers to assist crafters upon arrival, help
distribute coffee to vendors,answer general questions, volunteer in the kitchen upon lunch distribution,
collect surveys,and help sell raffle tickets. Many students volunteer, so be able to clearly direct. Person also
ensures volunteers have lanyard identifying them. Helps keep track of volunteer names and hours served
to students receive volunteer credit. Works with treasurer to determine start up change needed.
Craft Fair Raffle Help set up raffle area as raffle baskets and other items arrive. Have raffle bags
numbered and ready to be paired with gifts. Receive crafter items, help attach numbers, sell tickets, and
manage raffle area. Manage multiple raffle draws during the craft fair. Works with treasurer to determine
start up change needed.
Craft Fair Set Up Help VP’s set up tables and chairs for vendor areas, noting what each vendor booth
receives (tables/chairs/electrical) and size of booth. Be able to follow a floor plan to measure and mark
booths and be available and supportive to assist NRHS Maintenance team in laying tarps in gymnasium
(they usually have this done ahead of time but sometimes we help). Help move tables out of cafeteria area
and help erect rented tables.Bending, lifting and carrying involved.
Craft Fair Kitchen Co - Chair Help with vendor lunch preparation and help set lunch line for craft fair
shoppers. Works with treasurer to determine start up change needed.
Craft Fair Vendor Lunches Help distribute lunches to vendors at their booths so they don’t have to leave
their booth.
FALL FORMAL (Homecoming) coordinates volunteers to help with ticket sales and refreshments at Homecoming.
FINANCIAL REVIEW will be the head of the Financial Review Committee for the unit and will be the leader in the financial review of the unit’s books in July/August. Will do monthly reconciliations, during PTA meetings or other designated time, of the unit's statement and checkbook.
HONORS AND AWARDS coordinates volunteers to help with the refreshments at the Senior Awards Banquet held in mid-May.
NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY coordinates volunteers to help with the refreshments at the NHD Induction ceremony held in October.
REFLECTIONS promotes the National PTA Reflections program. Distributes contest materials, collects artwork from students and works with the North Royalton Council Reflections Chairperson.
SCHOLARSHIPS form a committee of at least three (3) members to independently read High School Senior Scholarship Applications and select North Royalton High School PTA’s recipients for the current school year. No parent of a Senior may be on this committee.
SOCIALS/STUDENT ACTIVITIES works with the Student Council School Representative on activities and helps them with planning activities social events such as providing refreshments.
STAFF APPRECIATION plans and coordinates the May luncheon for teachers and staff..
TALENT SHOW coordinates show from start to finish; arranges for judges to screen performers; coordinates performance dates and determines order of acts as well as other duties as necessary.
TECHNOLOGY administrates, updates and maintains the NRHS PTA Facebook page and website. Assures that school website is updated each year with new PTA information.
TRANSPORTATION represents the school at district transportation meetings regarding transportation issues of the school community.
WELCOME BACK LUNCHEON coordinates one (1) breakfast or luncheon for staff at the beginning of the school year.
