Duties of Executive Board & Committee Chairs

President: Presides over the quarterly meetings of the North Royalton PTA Council meetings. Conducts monthly President's meetings and attends monthly District 12 PTA meetings.
First Vice President: Represents the unit when asked to do so in the absence of the President. The First Vice President shall be chairperson for Founder's Night.
Second Vice President: Represents the unit when asked to do so in the absence of the President. The First Vice President shall be co-chairperson for Founder's Night.
Secretary: Sends out notice of all NR Council meetings. Records the minutes of each meeting. The minutes are to be posted on the NR PTA website.
Treasurer: Shall maintain the books of the NR Council PTA. The Treasurer shall prepare a Proposed Budget and provide an account of the expenses at the quarterly meeting. The Treasurer files the appropriate taxes and Charitable Trust Act.

Financial Review: Heads the Financial Review Committee for the unit to review the unit's books in July/August. Mentors and provides assistance to the local units.
Legislation: Keeps membership informed on pending state and nation legislation regarding education and child welfare.
Membership: Mentors and provides assistance to the local units membership chairs with membership drives, reporting and submission deadlines. Reports the membership numbers from each local unit.
Parliamentarian: Mentors and assists local units in reviewing, updating and filing of Standing Rules and Bylaws.
Reflections: Works with unit PTA committee chairs to promote the National PTA Reflections program. Coordinates timing and certificates/awards/prizes. Collects first place winners to be judged at district level. Sends building winners to the Ohio PTA.
Staff Appreciation: Recognize our central office and transportation staff with a small breakfast or token of appreciation
Technology: Partners with all NR units to coordinate efforts in technology. Updates the North Royalton PTA website with new Information and maintains the Council Facebook page.
Website: Maintains the site domain name & provide general changes to the PTA Website.
Zoom: Schedules and maintains Zoom for all PTA units. Moderates Zoom meetings for Council.
