On the eve of Syawal’s final sunset, we find ourselves quietly holding space for what could not be held. The global silence of 2020 muffled our traditions, leaving many apologies suspended in the air, letters of the heart that may never have been written, or if written, never read aloud.
This work is a tribute, tender and unresolved, to those unsent messages. To the simple, profound Malay phrase "Maaf, Zahir dan Batin" which carries in its breath both visible and hidden remorse. A cultural expression that transcends language, it is not merely a saying.
It is a ritual of return, a yearning for wholeness in relationships strained or softened by time.
P7:1SMA continues its quiet invitation to the community to reflect and remember the sacred act of asking forgiveness. This is an offering, a living archive of what it means to apologize not just with words, but with presence, with silence. It is a gesture toward healing, and a soft call back to the communal heart.
