Norfolk Steampunk AGM followed by our Monthly Social Gathering

(This is our monthly meeting.)

Valentines & Hearts Theme

This is our monthly social event. It will start with our AGM, but then be followed by our normal monthly social gathering. We estimate that the AGM will be finished by 8pm, so if you don't want to attend the AGM, then turn up at 8pm for the Social Gathering. This months optional costume theme suggestion is of a valentines and hearts theme.

£2 per person requested on the night.
Low priced drinks at the bar.

There will be no donation requested if you are coming for the AGM only.

Steampunks at Chelmsford Takeover

Sunday, 18th March
10am-4pm

The League of Essextraordinary Gentlemen have been invited, by the Essex Cosplayers, to participate in The Chelmsford Takeover on Saturday the 18th March 2023.

This will be a similar event to Invasion Colchester with guests and Cosplayers populating the City Centre.

The League will be located in the High Chelmer Shopping Centre. They will have a table of Steampunk Exhibits.
The League of Essextraordinary Gentlemen are the Essex Steampunk Group for both Ladies and Gentlemen.

Thetford Steampunk Weekend

25-26 March 2023

A weekend of steampunking with traders and a steampunk craft market. There will also be exhibitions of steampunk artifacts with live music and
entertainment provided. The Dad's Army Museum is next door. Check the Internet for event details and start times. Free event.

Saturday Matinee 2.30pm

Norfolk Steampunk are planning a little invasion around Wells-next-the-sea, before attending the Saturday matinee at 2.30pm of the family steampunk musical. "Steam", This is a highly rated Steampunk stage show at Wells Maltings theatre. The story is based on Charles Dickens' novel, Hard Times. After the show, we will probably go somewhere to eat and in the evening, if you still have the energy, we will be going to Fiveways in Norwich at 9pm to see "Timemachine".

Timemachine

9pm to 11pm

Why not make a full day of it by going to see Steam in Wells-Next-the-Sea in the afternoon, followed by an evening's entertainment by the 60s, 70s & 80s steampunk cover band, Timemachine. All your favourite songs from the era. Well, some of them anyway. And here's a heads-up; Timemachine will be performing for our Grand Christmas Party on the 2nd December. Come and get a sneaky preview for free.

The Grand Dinosaur Hunt at Roarr!

The annual Grand Dinosaur Hunt takes place at Lenwade's Roarr Dinosaur Park, organised by the League of Essexratordinary Gentlemen. This is great fun and a very popular annual event with 50+ steampunk attendees on average. With the new animatronic dinos installed last year this event will be better than ever. So don your best adventurer outfit and dust off your homemade dinosaur blunderbuss hunting rifle and come and have fun. Bring your camera and pose with the exhibits. We will meet in the cafe for lunch, or bring a punknic.

The park will be open to the general public as normal.

Official Steampunk Open Invitation

This is an open invitation to all Steampunks to attend this cosplay event. Norfolk Steampunk will be attending this event in an official steampunk capacity for the first time. We will have a little exhibition in one of the marquees and I'm sure we will be upto to some sort of mischief. So come along and have some fun.
