The NorCal Tigers broke open a close game with a dominant seven-run fifth inning to defeat the Delta Tortugas 12-2 on Sunday at De Anza High School.

After a scoreless opening inning, the Tigers struck first in the second. Alex Salazar lined an RBI single to left field before Sean Snead added a sacrifice fly, giving NorCal an early 2-0 advantage.

The offense kept rolling in the third inning as Ryan Burton ripped an RBI double to center field and Anakin Manuel followed with an RBI single, extending the Tigers' lead to 4-0. Behind strong pitching and aggressive baserunning, NorCal controlled the game from the start.

The decisive moment came in the fifth inning when the Tigers exploded for seven runs. Orlando Ramirez drove in a run after being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, Keito Frank added an RBI on a groundout, and Jack Fields followed with an RBI single. Emilio Ramirez then reached on a fielder's choice that brought another run home before Ryan Burton delivered an RBI single. JT Snead capped off the inning with a two-run single, turning a comfortable lead into a commanding one and putting the game out of reach.

Andrew Marty delivered another outstanding performance on the mound, earning the win after tossing six scoreless innings. The right-hander allowed just four hits while striking out four and walking one, keeping the Delta lineup off balance throughout his outing. Sean Snead came on in relief to finish the game and secure the victory.

NorCal's offense produced 14 hits, with contributions coming from throughout the lineup. Alex Salazar, Andy Rodriguez, Sebastian Conclara, Ryan Burton, and Anakin Manuel each collected two hits. Burton and Snead led the team with two RBIs apiece, while the Tigers continued to show patience at the plate by drawing seven walks. Andrew Marty also reached base twice via walk, helping keep offensive pressure on the Delta pitching staff.

The Tigers were relentless on the basepaths, stealing an incredible 17 bases. Orlando Ramirez, Alex Salazar, Andy Rodriguez, Sebastian Conclara, and Jordan Maske each recorded multiple stolen bases, consistently putting themselves in scoring position and forcing the defense to play under constant pressure.

Delta Tortugas finished with nine hits and received contributions from several players throughout the lineup, with multiple players recording multi-hit performances. The visitors also remained aggressive on the bases with five stolen bases and played a clean defensive game without committing an error.

With a complete performance in all phases of the game, the Tigers bounced back in impressive fashion. Strong pitching, timely hitting, patient at-bats, and an aggressive approach on the basepaths powered NorCal to a convincing 12-2 victory as they continue building momentum heading into their next matchup.
