The evolution of the non-uniformitarian Earth is a project funded by the European Research Council (ERC) advanced grant to study the vestiges of the earliest Earth and a record of the onset of plate tectonics. The project is hosted at the University of Bristol with collaborations from ETH Zurich, University of Oxford, and Thermofisher Scientific (Bremen).Â
Combining cutting edge isotopic observations, petrological experiments, theoretical physical chemistry and numerical geodynamics, the group attempts to illuminate the landmarks of the non-uniformitarian Earth history and their implications for the evolution of the Earth.
