Hi! I'm Adrienne, a medical Speech-Language Pathologist transitioning careers to become a CAA. Growing up in California, I had never heard of CAAs. In the summer of 2024, when looking through subspecialties in the Physician Assistant realm, I realized Anesthesiology was not listed. I then came across a news article talking about how a state I was living had just opened licensure for CAAs.

Since then it's been a whirlwind of learning about the Anesthesiologist Assistant career, balancing a full time job, trying to do all prerequisite classes online, volunteering, working with the Awakened Anesthetist on the CAA Matters wellness program, and managing family and life. I'm having fun building/managing this website, learning more about anesthesia, and excited to see what the future holds.
