NONATONE
Nine Oscillator Drone Synth for iPhone and iPad
Nonatone is a drone synthesizer, focused on simplicity and playability above all else, with intuitive, responsive controls that allow you to quickly shape your sound, and reshape it live as a human modulator.
Operation is simple. Drag an oscillators value higher to increase it’s frequency, and lower to decrease it. If the frequency gets low enough, the oscillator will deactivate. And that’s it, nine times over.
Whilst not the most complex synthesizer out there, that minimalism is by design, allowing you to spend less time deciphering the complex operations of your tools and more time experimenting with them. Nonatone is a drone synthesizer, no more and no less.
Features

3 sawtooth, 3 square and 3 sine wave oscillators, for a total of 9 concurrently playable, open gate oscillators
Global volume and low-pass filter controls, combined into one slider
Subtle reverb creates a smoother sound without interfering with any external effects
Intuitive and responsive controls which can be changed on-the-fly
Great for soundscapes, textures, and of course classic drone sounds
Use multi-touch to control multiple oscillators at once
Scales nicely even at very small window sizes (useful for juggling a lot of open audio unit windows!)
Powered by AudioKit!
Note: The Nonatone AU is a "generator", which means it outputs audio without any midi input (or output), which means it won't work in AU hosts such as GarageBand, which are midi based. Audio based AU hosts, such as AUM, will work fine however
