NOLEJ – LEARNING WITH FLASHCARDS PRIVACY POLICY

(Apple App Store edition)

Welcome to Nolej – Learning with Flashcards ("Nolej", "we", "our", or "us").

This Privacy Policy applies to the version of Nolej distributed on the Apple App Store. It explains what information may be collected when you use our application, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.

By downloading or using the application, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Information You Provide

Nolej is designed to help users learn efficiently through flashcards and spaced repetition.

You can use the core features of the application without creating an account.

Flashcard decks, study progress, learning statistics, and personal preferences are generally stored locally on your device unless a future feature explicitly offers cloud synchronization.

If you voluntarily contact us for support, we may receive information such as your email address and the content of your message.

Automatically Collected Information

When you use the application, certain information may be collected automatically, including:

• Device model

• Device manufacturer

• Operating system version

• Language and region settings

• App version

• Advertising identifier (IDFA) — only if App Tracking Transparency permission is requested and granted

• IP address (processed by Google services when required)

• Crash reports

• Performance metrics

• Diagnostic information

• Anonymous usage statistics

• Advertising interaction information

This information helps us improve the reliability, security, and performance of the application.

2. FIREBASE SERVICES

Nolej uses Google Firebase services to improve application quality and user experience.

The Firebase services currently used include:

• Firebase Analytics

• Firebase Crashlytics

• Firebase Remote Config

These services may collect information such as app usage statistics, feature usage, session information, device information, crash logs, performance metrics, and diagnostic information.

We use this information to understand how users interact with the application, improve features, fix crashes and bugs, optimize app performance, and deliver configuration updates without requiring a new app release.

3. NOTIFICATIONS

Nolej can send study reminders directly from your device (e.g. daily study reminders and flashcard review reminders). These notifications are scheduled locally on your device and are not sent from our servers, and no device token or personal data is required to deliver them.

You may disable notifications at any time through your device Settings.

If server-delivered push notifications are introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

4. ADVERTISING

The application displays advertisements using Google AdMob.

AdMob may automatically collect information including:

• Advertising identifier (IDFA), where permitted

• Device information

• Approximate location

• IP address

• App interactions

• Ad performance data

• Diagnostic information

This information may be used to display advertisements, measure advertising effectiveness, prevent fraudulent activity, and improve advertising services.

Nolej does not currently request App Tracking Transparency (ATT) permission on iOS. As a result, the IDFA is not accessed, and any advertisements shown are non-personalized/contextual only. If personalized advertising is introduced in a future version, this Privacy Policy and the App Store's Privacy Nutrition Label will be updated accordingly, and ATT permission will be requested where required.

5. HOW WE USE INFORMATION

Information collected through the application is used to:

• Provide core learning functionality

• Save learning progress

• Improve flashcard study experience

• Analyze application performance

• Diagnose crashes and improve stability

• Display advertisements

• Prevent abuse and fraud

• Comply with legal obligations

6. DATA STORAGE

Most learning data, including flashcard decks, study history, and user preferences, is stored locally on your device.

If cloud synchronization is introduced in future versions, this Privacy Policy will be updated accordingly.

7. SHARING OF INFORMATION

We do not sell your personal information.

We may share limited information only with trusted service providers necessary to operate the application, including:

• Google Firebase

• Google AdMob

• Apple App Store services

These providers process information according to their own privacy policies.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

8. DATA SECURITY

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information collected through the application.

However, no method of electronic storage or internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

9. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Nolej is intended for a general audience.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children in violation of applicable laws.

If you believe that a child has provided personal information through the application, please contact us so that appropriate action can be taken.

10. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES

Depending on your country or region, you may have rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, request deletion of, object to processing of, or withdraw consent for your data.

You may also:

• Disable notifications through device Settings

• Grant or deny App Tracking Transparency permission, and reset your IDFA, through Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking

• Uninstall the application at any time

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

The application uses third-party services that maintain their own privacy policies, including:

• Google Firebase

• Google AdMob

• Apple App Store services

We encourage you to review their privacy policies for additional information.

12. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

Some information collected through the application may be processed or stored on servers located outside your country by Google and its affiliated service providers.

Such processing is performed in accordance with applicable data protection laws.

13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.

Any changes will become effective immediately after the updated Privacy Policy is published.

The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always indicate the latest revision.

Continued use of the application after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Privacy Policy.
