Figure 8 displays the process for starting a system that has a removable compact flash. This example assumes that the boot loader, BOF, and the image and configuration files are successfully located. For a system with a non-removable compact flash, the first step in Figure 8 does not apply.

Nokia recommends that the boot loader file on all 7705 SAR platforms be upgraded using a specific command. This command is mandatory on all 7705 SAR platforms that do not have a removable compact flash drive and is part of a mechanism that protects the boot loader file from accidental overwrites on these platforms.

On systems that do not have removable flash drives, you cannot overwrite the boot.ldr file in the root directory on cf3:. Instead, copy the file into a subdirectory, or allow the update boot-loader command to obtain the file from a network address. Nokia strongly recommends following this process for all 7705 SAR systems.

Upgrade the boot loader file using the command admin>update boot-loader source_url, where the source URL specifies the new boot.ldr filename and its location; for example, in the format cf3:\sub_directory\boot.ldr.

Hi frollic,

Could you show me how to supposed to interrupt the boot loader?

I think I complete verify my USB TTL (TX, RX, GND, not connect VCC) and it work normal because I see booting information display on screen console.

When the bootloader says "Hit any key to stop autoboot", you'd normally do exactly that to interrupt it. You could also try e.g. CTRL+C or similar combinations. If none of them work, though, you would have to modify the bootloader or OpenWrt directly with a programmer.

I'll instruct on only accessing the command line as this device has very heavily modified OpenWrt fork (QSDK), for the rest You are on Your own.

It looks as the interruption on bootloader is disabled. If Your USB-UART adapter is properly attached:

The EDL loader for your phone isn't listed on the bananahackers website, so if sideloading the app the normal way doesn't work, go to TAG. (I don't know if they'll be able to do that model, but see what they say)

When starting Nokia Maps and going into 'Map loader' on the menu, you'll see all the countries neatly pre-installed again. Of course, to save space you probably won't want to keep all of them, so note that long pressing on any country name brings up a menu which includes 'Delete' and you can then remove any you know you won't need.

By unlocking the bootloader you can open up a whole new world of possibilities. An unlocked bootloader allows you to modify the system data such as the recovery or the operating system. You can not only root the smartphone to gain admin/superuser privileges, but also install a different ROM which can change the overall smartphone experience. That said, all these possibilities depend on the developer community, and some devices receive more development, while others receive lesser.

To ensure that the smartphone is properly detected by the bootloader unlock tool, make sure you install the required fastboot drivers. If you are not sure whether the drivers are installed or not, please run the drivers installer again.

Our unlock tool does not support the first-gen Nokia smartphones (like the Nokia 2, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6). So, until such support is added, you can follow the old method by buying the bootloader unlock key and downgrading your aboot.

The bootloader unlock key is an encrypted file containing an encrypted string that gives the unlock permission. You can use the unlock key if your phone is on July 2018 or an older update. The price for the unlock key is $5 per request. You will need to send the following information:

For Nokia 2, Nokia 5, and Nokia 6 (2017 versions) with A-only partitioning: Flash the July 2018 OTA update from recovery. Your application bootloader (aboot) will be downgraded. Then go back to step 2 above and proceed with the unlock.

As many people in the comments are quick to point out, XDA is a site with a strong focus on customizing (read: "rooting") Android devices. Many people find the idea of rooting their devices attractive, since it allows them to do quite a few things they normally couldn't, such as fully removing bloatware and installing custom kernels. If you've rooted your phone before, chances are it first required that you unlock the bootloader. Unfortunately, if you're one of the people who owns a Nokia 3.2 or Nokia 4.2, you may have noticed that there's no official bootloader unlock method.

If you do own a Nokia 3.2 or Nokia 4.2 and you're missing root, we have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that the Nokia 3.2 and 4.2 can now be bootloader unlocked, thanks to XDA senior member hikari_calyx. The bad news is that you'll have to open up your device to do so. Standard warnings also apply: because you're unlocking the bootloader, your warranty is technically void (it's also void because you've opened the phone, though).

Are you looking to unlock the bootloader on your Nokia Android smartphone? This service is here to help you out. Hello

I placed my order to unlock my Nokia 8 bootloader and root it the 17th December but still there is no reply from Techmesto for a program

So please reply as soon as possible and tell me what are the required programs that should be installed in my computer

Very happy with this service. Narender contacted me promptly after payment; we set a mutually convenient time; Narender used TeamViewer to downgrade my phone and unlock the bootloader (regular and critical). Highly recommended professional service!

*Also bought two more unlock keys without downgrade service, which both worked fine as well.

Really worth it !!!

Device -Nokia 6.1 plus

unlocked my bootloader by Narendra singh his service is Excellent!!! no!! doubt !!

he done 98% of process by own and I just have to do allow permission from device and have to sit back and chill and supprizing thing is that everything is done in 20 minutes, he could done more faster that time if i allowed the permission fast i was chilling that time lol

Thanks you singhnsk ?

You are great huge respect to you

Awesome experience I have watching Narendra Singh doing her job,now my Nokia X71 phone is super fast fixed all the problems on my phone I only wanted to unlock the bootloader but he noticed some software issues on my device and fixed them, very happy Thanks alot!!!!!

The other thing that I can suggest is to try to sell it or lease it to a friend that needs internet, maybe their area gets better signal and they can put it to better use. My unit has proven to me that it works on the fly mobile, so there will be more than a few people that will want one in their car or their boat... some may even have bad credit with Rogers and may love to make a deal with you where by they pay the monthly fee or prepay you if trust is an issue and you let them use the device. If they are being bad tenants sort of speak, you can always call Rogers and say your unit has been stolen or misplaced, and they will cut it off... but of course then you are out the unit. But I would not be surprised if someone paid you for the nokia 5G Fastmile gateway and paid your monthly. You just have to find the right person. 0852c4b9a8
