Nokia's own Ovi Suite is glittering piece of designer's wet dream - full of custom widgets, animated logos, sliding screens and zero functionality. After banging my head on famous "suite is busy" message while trying to make it run backup tool I simply give up. My previous experience with less overweight version of this software also tells me that resulting backup is a single big file with no good tools to easily read separate elements inside it.

Equipped with modern functionalities and apps for convenience all in one place, this amazingly affordable Nokia 6300 comes with a suite of Google services, WhatsApp, Facebook, YouTube, and other relevant apps. As an added bonus, it can also be served as Wi-Fi hotspot to connect your other smart devices.

My "phone confrontation" from this time last year led me to the very non-iPhone-like Nokia 6300. This anachronistic investment is still paying off: over the last couple of months I've been using the Nokia PC Suite to connect to the Internet.

Hey, i bought a Nokia 6300 4g to be able to use WhatsApp and Maps. However, there is just a "knock off" WhatsApp package I can't install because of a server error and there is no Maps or KaiOS store. Is this normal? Do I have to download a never firmware or something? Thanks in advance!

I got this Nokia 6300 and it had a restriction code on it, I have tried code generators on my 6230i and from whats I have heard after a couple of tries you are locked out completely so I didn't opt for that instead I read reflashing ROM might help

The Nokia 6300 is a mobile telephone handset produced by Nokia. It was announced on 28 November 2006[2] and released in January 2007. This model was assembled in several factories, including Jucu plant, near Cluj, in Romania.[clarification needed]

The Nokia 6300 is a mid-range phone combining a classic candybar design with a durable stainless steel and slim (11.7 mm thick) body.[3] It runs on Series 40. The 6300 was a hit and became one of the top-selling Nokia models on the market during its time.[4] Slightly improved models Nokia 6301 and Nokia 6300i were launched later in 2007 and 2008 respectively.

The phone supports MicroSD cards up to 2 GB (4 GB with the 6300i variant), meaning that the phone can be used practically as an MP3 player. Using the supplied and freely available Nokia PC Suite, one can convert all the MP3 files in a music library to e-AAC in order to fit more on the card. The 2.5 mm headphone jack means that few commercial headsets will fit the phone, however there are adapters available enabling the use of headphones with a standard jack.

Like most other new Nokia phones, the 6300 eschews their old Pop-Port connector for a standard mini-USB connector. At the launch many questioned why to include the USB port for data, but not for charging. Despite companies like BlackBerry using USB connectors to charge phones, USB charging was not standardized at the time of development of the platform in 2006. USB BC (Battery Charging) 1.0 (USB hardware) was released as a standard in 2007 the same year the Nokia 6500 classic (with USB charging) was released.

With firmware version 06.01 and later, Nokia 6300 is capable of playing MPEG-4 (*.mp4) files with a QCIF resolution of 176*144 at 25 frames per second. The phone allows the user to view the video clips in full-screen landscape mode and set the fast-forward/rewind interval from a few seconds to minutes. Improved audio quality for music playback was also noted for this firmware version, thus making the Nokia 6300 a music phone similar to its counterparts, the Nokia XpressMusic. In addition, video clips can replace ringtones so that an actual motion picture is shown while there is an incoming call.

Nokia 6300 was a highly popular mobile phone handset throughout the world,[7] officially the best-selling Nokia handset in 2007.[8] A report from The Economist said that Nokia 6300 was the most popular handset in Africa as of the beginning of 2011, four years after the original release.[9]

The Nokia 6300i is an upgraded version of the Nokia 6300 with the same design but adding Wireless LAN and VoIP capability and support for 4GB microSD cards (the 6300 could only support up to 2GB microSD cards). It was announced on 26 March 2008.[14] The device is designed for typical use in Europe and only distributed there.

Do you prefer to use Lotus Notes, Thunderbird or Tobit David or ... (see below) for your addresses and Organizer? No problem! Mobile Master copies and synchronizes this information easily onto your Nokia 6300.

Mobile Master not only synchronizes the Nokia 6300 with Lotus Notes or Outlook, it also compares the data of your Nokia 6300 with Tobit David, Mozilla Thunderbird, Palm Desktop, Novell Groupwise, Mozilla Seamonkey, Windows contacts/address book (Outlook Express) or a txt, vcf, csv, ics, cvs file.

Yes you can. it may be worth checking out the nokia website because it can be a little hit or miss (based on our experience of multiple laptops nokia phones and operating systems. Alternatively you could use the usb docking cable and the pc suite software from nokia. Its not as fancy as bluetooth but I can pretty much guarantee it will work!

Do you know that the 6300 has a tiny little SD card under the cover, that you can take out and put into other things like some laptops (if they've got a SD slot and you've got an adapter) or photo machines?

So came the fun part of extracting data from the NBF file. After much

research i was able to find that this is merely a ZIP file and the

contacts are all sitting inside as vCards. I have been able to

successfully recover all my contacts. Now i am greedy for even more and would like to see if i can extract

my saved text messages and be able to import them back into my current

phone (Nokia 6300) via PC Suite.I reckon the text messages reside in these folders inside the

extracted NBF:\predefmessages\1

\predefmessages\3

\predefmessages\5These folders contain multiple files with filenames of the following

format, with no file extension:00000E4A367730D100002012005000000010100000000000000000000000000I tried opening these files via Notepad but all i see is jargon, so

they're coded in some way. I have not been unable to open these files

via either Noki or any other software.Any ideas guys?

This page is a discussion forum for new firmware updates for the Nokia 6300 from the version 5.00 and forth software releases. The version 5.00 firmware update introduced an issue, namely, that the feature of toggling the silent-profile by pressing and holding the #-key disappeared. Updating to the newer version 5.50 of the Nokia 6300 firmware, however, solved this problem together with the following software updates:

Telefon 2 GBgacha bolgan MicroSD kartalarini (4GB 6300i variantida) qollab-quvvatlaydi. Nokia PC Suite ilovasidan foydalanib, musiqa kutubxonasidagi barcha MP3 fayllarini kartaga moslash uchun eAAC formatiga aylantirish mumkin.

Boshqa Nokia telefonlari kabi, 6300 ham eski Pop-Port konektordan foydalanib, standart mini-USB konnektordan voz kechadi. Taqdimot paytida koplar nega USB portini quvvatlash uchun emas, balki malumot almashuvi uchun ornatish kerakligini sorashdi. BlackBerry kabi kompaniyalar telefonlarni toldirish uchun USB konektorlaridan foydalanishga qaramay, 2006-yilda platforma ishlab chiqilganda USB quvvatlagich standartlashtirilmagan. USB BC (batareyalarni toldirish) 1.0 (USB uskunalari) 2007-yilda standart sifatida chiqarildi.

Several additional text-to-speech voices are available for Android, giving the option for more human-sounding speech synthesis. One of the latest additions is the familiar suite of voices from Acapela TTS Voices. These voices have been found to be highly responsive and a welcome improvement when compared to the built-in offerings. 0852c4b9a8
