This policy covers the Noise Machine family of Android apps:

All four are built from the same source code and behave identically with respect to privacy.
These apps do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. There is no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, and no crash reporting. The apps do not request the Android internet permission, so they cannot send information anywhere even if they wanted to.
The apps save your own settings so the app opens the way you left it. This data stays in the app's private storage on your device, is never transmitted, and is never accessible to us or to anyone else:
The selected noise color (white, pink, or brown)
The volume level
The "mix with other audio" toggle
Whether playback is currently active, so home screen widgets can show the right play/pause icon
The color chosen for each home screen widget you have added
A flag recording that the notification permission prompt has already been shown once
Uninstalling the app deletes all of it. Clearing the app's storage from Android's settings has the same effect and resets it to defaults.
If you have Android's system backup enabled, these settings may be included in the backup your device makes to your own Google account. That backup is handled entirely by Android and Google under their terms, not by us, and we have no access to it. You can exclude the app from backup in your device's backup settings.

FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK
Keeps audio playing after you leave the app or lock the screen, the same as any media player.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Shows the playback notification with play/pause controls while audio is running.
WAKE_LOCK
Prevents the device from suspending audio playback while the app is playing.
The notification permission is optional. You can deny it, or revoke it later in Android's settings, and audio playback still works. You will just lose the notification and lock screen controls.
There is no INTERNET permission, no location permission, no microphone access, no contacts access, and no access to your files, photos, or device identifiers.
The audio is generated mathematically on your device in real time. Nothing is downloaded or streamed, and nothing is uploaded. The apps make no network connections of any kind.
The apps bundle open source libraries from Google and JetBrains (AndroidX, Jetpack Compose, and Media3) to draw the interface and manage media playback. These run locally on your device and do not send data anywhere as used here. No third party analytics, advertising, attribution, or crash reporting SDK is included.
If you installed an app through Google Play, Google collects its own data about the purchase and installation under Google's Privacy Policy. That is separate from the apps and outside our control.
The apps collect nothing from anyone, including children under 13, and contain no ads, no in-app purchases, and no user-generated content.
Because no personal data is ever collected or transmitted, there is nothing to request, correct, export, or delete on our side. Every piece of data the apps create lives on your device and is removed when you uninstall or clear the app's storage.
If a future version of an app changes what it stores or accesses, this policy will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change. Material changes will be described in the app's release notes on Google Play.
