Noema Launcher is designed with privacy in mind. Noema provides Android home-screen customization, app organization, widgets, search, Daily features, and optional Noema Pro functionality.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Noema Launcher may access, how that information is used, and when information may be communicated to third-party services.
Information stored on your device
Noema stores launcher configuration and preferences locally on your device. This may include your home-screen layout, folders, widget configuration, appearance settings, launcher preferences, saved setups, and other customization choices.
Noema does not require you to create a Noema account to use the launcher.
Installed applications
As an Android launcher, Noema needs access to information about applications installed on your device so it can display, search, organize, launch, and manage applications through the home screen and app drawer.
This information is used to provide launcher functionality.
Widgets
When you add Android widgets to Noema, widget content is provided by the application that owns the widget. The privacy practices of those applications are governed by their respective developers and privacy policies.
Noema provides the Android launcher environment in which those widgets are displayed.
Notifications
If you enable Noema features that require notification access, Noema may process notification information on your device to provide the features you have enabled.
Notification access is optional and can be disabled through Android settings.
Calendar
If you choose to enable calendar-related features, Noema may access calendar information needed to display those features.
Calendar access is optional. Noema also supports its own local calendar functionality.
Weather
If you enable weather functionality, Noema may communicate with a weather provider to retrieve forecast information.
Weather requests may use an approximate location or a location you configure in Noema. Information necessary to retrieve the forecast is transmitted to the applicable weather service.
News and RSS
If you enable news or RSS functionality, Noema may connect to external news or feed providers to retrieve the content you request.
Those services receive the network information ordinarily required to respond to an internet request.
Noema Pro and Google Play
Noema offers an optional lifetime Noema Pro upgrade through Google Play.
Google Play Billing is used to process the purchase and determine purchase and restore status. Payment information is handled by Google Play and is not collected or stored by Noema.
Noema may store entitlement information locally so that previously verified Pro functionality can continue to work when appropriate.
Noema Pro is a one-time upgrade. Noema Launcher 1.0 does not provide a Noema Pro subscription.
Advertising
Noema Launcher does not contain advertising.
Analytics and tracking
Noema Launcher does not include third-party analytics or advertising tracking SDKs.
Noema does not use your launcher activity to create an advertising profile.
Accounts
A Noema account is not required to use Noema Launcher.
External services or applications displayed or accessed through Noema may have their own account requirements.
Network access
Some optional Noema features require internet access, including weather, news or RSS content, and Google Play Billing.
Network requests made to third-party providers are subject to those providers' privacy practices.
Data sharing
Noema does not sell your personal information.
Information is communicated to third-party services only when necessary to provide functionality you choose to use, such as Google Play Billing, weather information, news/RSS feeds, or services belonging to widgets and applications you choose to use.
Permissions
Noema may request Android permissions or special access necessary to provide launcher features.
Optional permissions are used only for the functionality associated with them. You can control many permissions and special-access privileges through Android system settings.
Disabling a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from functioning.
Data retention
Launcher preferences and other locally stored Noema information generally remain on your device until you remove them, reset the relevant functionality, clear the application's data, or uninstall Noema.
Information handled by third-party services is subject to the retention practices of those services.
Security
Noema is designed to minimize unnecessary collection and transmission of user information. However, no software or method of electronic storage can guarantee absolute security.
Children
Noema Launcher is a general-purpose Android personalization application and is not specifically designed or directed toward children.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as Noema evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the policy and its "Last updated" date.
