1. Introduction NOCIV (developed by ArgoShift) is built upon a strict "Privacy by Design" philosophy. We firmly believe that your digital security should never compromise your personal privacy. This policy details our approach: we do not collect, sell, or track any of your personal data.
2. Data Collection and Processing NOCIV operates as an Offline-First application. All core analyses, powered by our heuristic engine, are performed instantly and directly on your device's processor.
No Account Required: We do not require you to create an account, nor do we request your name, email address, or phone number.
Local Data and Vault: Your scan history, custom Blocklists, and Safe-lists are stored exclusively in your device's internal memory. As developers, we have zero access to this data.
3. Cloud Services and External APIs (Optional Mode) To provide maximum protection against emerging threats, NOCIV integrates real-time checks via recognized security databases (such as Urlhaus, PhishStats, and WHOIS servers).
Data Minimization: When you initiate an online scan, only the targeted URL or domain is transmitted anonymously to these databases. No information that could identify you or link your device to the request is sent.
100% Offline Mode: You retain full control. You can toggle the "Offline Mode" in the app's settings at any time. Once activated, the application severs all communication with external APIs and relies solely on its built-in, local detection algorithms.
4. Required Permissions NOCIV requests only the permissions strictly necessary for its operation:
Camera: Required exclusively for the QR code scanner feature. The video feed is processed locally and is never recorded or transmitted over the internet.
Storage / File Access: Requested occasionally for the Mass Scan feature (to read .txt files containing links) or when manually exporting and importing your backups (JSON files).
5. Tracking, Analytics, and Advertising
Zero Tracking: To guarantee absolute privacy, NOCIV does not integrate any behavioral analytics tools, telemetry, or crash-tracking SDKs.
Zero Advertising: The application is completely free of advertising SDKs and third-party trackers.
6. Data Sharing Because we do not collect or store any user data on remote servers, it is technically and physically impossible for us to share, sell, or transfer your information to third parties, advertisers, or authorities.
7. Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect the addition of new security features or regulatory requirements. Any changes will always align with our core commitment: the absolute protection of your privacy. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this page indicates when modifications become effective.
