About me

I am a composer and musician from Tel Aviv, Israel. I hold a degree in multidisciplinary composition from the Jerusalem Academy of Music, where I had the privilege of acquiring my knowledge in classical and jazz music. Music has been a constant thread in my life, starting with my early years playing the saxophone and singing in a choir. I rediscovered my passion for music while teaching young people from underserved communities in Israel. Watching them find direction and purpose through music reaffirmed my commitment to this art form, and I made the decision to pursue music as a career.

Currently, I am completing my Master’s degree in Scoring for Film, Television, and Video Games at Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain. Throughout my career, I have written and arranged music for orchestras, released two albums with my band, composed and produced a musical, and composed music for short films.

Part 1 from the piece "Paperman"

I got the amazing opportunity to compose, orchestrate, conduct and produce this orchestral piece for one of my films projects- Paperman.

I got to record in one of the best studios in the world in Budapest - with an amazing orchestra.

Orchestral Piece- A scene from "Gran Hotel"

Recorded by "Budapest Art Orchestra".

I composed that piece to accompany the climactic scene—after a long period of impossible love, marked by the divide between social classes. In this moment of the series, the young lovers' desires are finally fulfilled, sparking the hope that their love could transcend their differeces.

We can hear that the orchestra consists of low and high strings, wood winds and horns.

At Night - String Quartet

At Night - a string quartet that tells the story of a whole night, from the "falling asleep" after a long day, through the dreams and nightmares, and finally, the lazy morning.

This piece participated in a String Quartet Festival in Jerusalem, in the summer of 2023.

A scene from "Portrait of a Lady on Fire״

For a re-composing, I decided to take one of the most aesthetic scenes of recent years' cinema of "A portrait of a lady on fire" by the magnificent director - Céline Sciamma. I composed this scene, using four celli, with my interpretation of the inner storms that are covered under the words.

Short Films

Gafrur

A Film by Dor Brecher

In the short film "Gafrur," a soldier confronts challenging circumstances while stranding in a remote desert location. Engaging in an ongoing conversation over the two-way radio with someone he imagines helps him pass the time until he is completely sure she is there.

The music I composed goes between the desert's exhausting environment, using my voice and sound effects, to a "romantic film" illusion by an orchestra.

Terrarium

A film by Danielle Helman

The short animation film "Terrarium" tells the story of a girl that lives inside a glassed cage. It's a story about loneliness and isolation, about braking walls and finding light in the darkness.

My goal with the music was to express a feeling of solitude, but with an undercurrent of courage and optimism.

The Death Of Ivan Illyich - The Musical

The novella by Tolstoy, that I adapted into a musical, tells the story of Ivan Ilyich Golovin, a high-ranking lawyer in 19th-century Russia, leads a superficial life focused on social status and material success. As he faces a terminal illness, he confronts the meaninglessness of his existence and struggles with the inevitability of death, ultimately finding a sense of spiritual awakening in his final moments.

For this musical project I used a small orchestra, singers\actors , a small choir and dancers. To define he musical genre, we can say we have the part that emphasises the "musical world", with the drama and humure, along with the classic-romantic music from the story's time period.

When will he pass away

When Ivan is very sick and slowly dying, his wife Preskofvia, can't take it anymore and sings a kind of an aria that asks to finish that nightmare, of her.

The last scene of the musical- Ivan is about to die, the choir, which represent the voice inside his head, tells him- you lived the wrong way.

with my two good friends, I started an Indie band in Israel. we were preforming and recording for the last five years. my part in that band was writing the songs, singing, arranging, and playing the guitar. We where played on national radio, TV, performed on many indie festival and in the Jerusalem pride parade.
