1.2 Automatically Collected Information
We may automatically collect certain information, including:
- Device type and operating system version
- App usage analytics (features accessed, session duration)
- Crash reports and performance data
- Subscription status and purchase history (processed by Apple and RevenueCat)
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, or physical address unless you voluntarily contact us via email.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or location.

2. HOW YOUR DATA IS STORED
2.1 Local Storage
The majority of your personal data — including diary entries, unsent letters, Red Flag Vault items, Reality Reminders, chat history, mood logs, and profile information — is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data is not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
2.2 Widget Data
If you use home screen or lock screen widgets, minimal data (last contact date, no-contact start date, display name, and premium status) is shared between the main app and the widget extension through Apple's App Groups. This data remains on your device.
2.3 AI Chat Processing
When you use the AI support chat feature ("Talk It Out"), your messages are sent to a third-party AI service provider for processing. The AI service generates responses in real-time. We do not store your chat conversations on external servers beyond the duration needed to generate a response. Your chat history is stored locally on your device.
2.4 Subscription Management
Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We use RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage subscription status and entitlements. 3. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the App's core functionality (streak tracking, diary, AI support)
- Personalize your recovery experience based on your profile

- Generate AI-powered support responses tailored to your situation
- Manage your subscription and premium features
- Send local notifications (daily motivation, milestone celebrations) if you grant permission
- Improve the App's performance and fix bugs
- Respond to your feedback or support inquiries
4. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
We may share limited information with the following service providers who assist in operating the App:
- Apple: App Store purchase processing, crash reporting, and analytics
- RevenueCat: Subscription management and entitlement verification
- AI Service Provider: Processing of chat messages to generate AI responses (messages are not stored permanently)
We may also disclose information if required by law, regulation, or legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users or others.
5. DATA SECURITY
We take reasonable measures to protect your information:
- All personal data is stored locally on your device and protected by your device's security features (passcode, Face ID, Touch ID).
- Data transmitted to third-party services (AI chat, subscription management) is encrypted in transit using industry-standard TLS/SSL protocols.
- We do not maintain external databases containing your personal diary entries, messages, or emotional data.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
6.1 Local Data
Since your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over it. You can delete individual entries (diary entries, Red Flag Vault items, unsent letters, Reality Reminders) within the App. To delete all App data, you can uninstall the App from your device.
6.2 Subscription Data
Subscription purchase history is managed by Apple and RevenueCat. To manage or cancel your subscription, go to your Apple ID Account Settings.
7. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at the email address below, and we will take steps to delete such information.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data.
