About Key Club!

Welcome to Key Club!

What is Key Club?

Key Club is a service club for high school students. It is a student-led organization whose goal is to display leadership through helping others. Key Club International was founded in 1925 by two men named Albert C. Onley and Frank C. Vincent of Sacramento, California. Women were not admitted into the club until 1976. Key Club is a part of the Kiwanis International family, which consists of K-Kids, Builder's Club, Key Club, Circle K, and Kiwanis.

The NNCS Key Club does a number of projects throughout each school year. We have Free Movie Days, where we show a movie in the auditorium for free and have a snack stand open with baked goods, soda, and popcorn throughout the movie. We do middle level fun-nights, where we let kids in middle school do activities like dodgeball, darts, and pie in the face. Additionally, we make numerous trips to a local retirement home to play bingo with the residents, we participate in Relay For Life, where we walk around the track all night at SUNY Potsdam to raise money. We recently we took on the duty of the Sweetheart Dance every February, PAL, and anything else to show our community we are here for them. We do so many things, but it never fails to be fun!

The NNCS Key Club

The Key Club of Norwood-Norfolk High School has continuously turned their awards and dues in before the due date, and has received the early bird dues award numerous times.

We are in Division 24, and in our division we received the 1st place award for the single service at Leadership Training Conference of last year. We also got the early bird award. And of course, the diamond level club award, the highest club award possible.

We do numerous services year round and we truly care about our community and the people in it. We have our priorities, family first, always, then school and then the Key Club family. Many of our members are very well rounded, participating in music, sports, and academic clubs as well as many other extracurricular activities. Yet we still find time to devote ourselves to helping our community through our well involved Key Club of Division 24.
