Profile
Swati Yadav earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology from Veer Narmad South Gujarat University, Surat, Gujarat, in 2016, followed by a Master’s degree in Forensic Science from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, in 2020. She is presently pursuing her Ph.D. in the field of forensic electrochemistry, where her research focuses on the development of portable electrochemical sensors for the rapid detection of illicit drugs.
Her doctoral research focuses on developing low-cost, portable sensing platforms using advanced nanomaterials and electrode modification strategies to achieve high sensitivity and selectivity. She is applying these sensors to synthetic sample studies with spiked forensic matrices to ensure their reliability and applicability in forensic investigations. By employing electroanalytical techniques such as Cyclic Voltammetry (CV), Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV), and Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS), she aims to provide on-site, real-time drug detection methods suitable for forensic, clinical, and public health applications.
Her interdisciplinary expertise bridges forensic science, materials chemistry, and electroanalytical techniques, positioning her research at the interface of advanced sensing technologies and forensic applications.
