Profile
Dr. Dani George, Ph.D., is a researcher specializing in electrochemistry, nanomaterials, and electrochemical sensing. She received her Ph.D. from the Centre for Nano and Material Sciences at Jain (Deemed-to-be University), Bengaluru, with research expertise in advanced nanomaterials and their applications in electrochemical sensing.
She holds an M.Sc. from St. Aloysius (Deemed-to-be University) and a B.Sc. from Providence Women’s College, Calicut. Research experience includes the synthesis and functionalization of two-dimensional (2D) materials, including graphene, MXenes, and boron carbon nitride, as well as metal–organic frameworks (MOFs) and related nanocomposite materials.
Her primary research interests include nanomaterial synthesis and characterization, electrochemical sensor development, and paper-based analytical devices. Particular emphasis is placed on designing sensitive and portable electrochemical sensing platforms for the detection of toxic heavy metal ions and pharmaceutical compounds, with applications in environmental monitoring and analytical sensing. Her research integrates advanced functional materials with electrochemical methodologies to develop practical, efficient, and next-generation sensing technologies.
