Proceed east down the south side of Main St.
Site is the current location of the library.
A library and medical centre was located in three different buildings in the area of 147 Main St at one time. A confectionary store, a newspaper office, and a tinsmith were also located here through the years.
Munroe's confectionary, owned by Tom Munroe and run by his wife Ada and daughter Sadie, satisfied appetites for sweets, books, magazines, toys and some music supplies. To the right of Munroe's was the Banner newspaper office and print shop, and Roy Dodd's tin shop was also located on this lot.
This location was also once home to the community policing office as well as the Municipal Office, before the library and medical office moved in.
