Site is on the northwest corner of Craig and Main St, the current location of Storage Unlimited.
In 1960, John A. Stewart bought this land and built Stewart Seeds. The business, started by Alex M. Stewart, had started in 1925. In 1937, Alex M. Stewart won the World Oat Championship, and the demand for Stewart Seeds grew rapidly.
The business was passed down to Alex M. Stewarts son, John A. Stewart, in 1955. In 1976, the business was sold to Ciba-Geigy, until 1984 when W.G. Thompson took over, running it until 2010.
The building is now home to Storage Unlimited, a year round storage facility for boats and campers.
